On the way to their mysterious date, Jennie simply enjoyed the evening city while she stroked the Thai girl's hand on her knee while her attention was focused on the road. The silence wasn't uncomfortable as they were both thinking about how special this evening had already become thanks to little Jasmine's smile and laughter at the beginning of their date as if she had blessed them. When they arrived Lisa was the first to get out of her car as quickly as possible, running around to open the door for the girl and being rewarded with another shy smile that made her feel like she was floating. After waiting for the valet to drive away the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition 2022, the couple walked to the elevator for the special guests who wanted to keep their visit as private as possible. Although she had heard of the restaurant, she had never been able to visit the restaurant during her years in Seoul because she was either busy or didn't have the energy to visit. However, she was even more surprised when they got to N Grill, which was empty and the only sound was jazz played live by a cover band hidden behind a small fence to add more privacy. Everything about this place screamed that it was perfect for people who wanted privacy and lightness yet romance on their date.
-Welcome Mrs. Manoban! Please proceed to your table.- once inside, the waiter smiled politely as he led the couple deep into the restaurant.- I'll let Mr. Dubois know you're here, he'll be happy to see you.
-Thank you.- gallantly pushing back the chair for the girl answered Lisa after taking the seat that was opposite and handing her the menu.-Will we order one dish or a couple and share them to try more?
-Will we ignore Mr. Dubois, who will be happy to see you?.- she said with a smile, tilting her head slightly to the side.
-He's a good friend of my father's and our family partly owns the place.- as if it were nothing, the Thai woman said as she continued to look at the menu.- We rarely talk about it because it creates the illusion of competition in the market and allows us to reduce the risk of loss in case of a decline in popularity.... For our date it was perfect because everyone who works here, like at Bruschweiler, signs a non-disclosure agreement so you don't have to worry about our date being leaked to the press.
-Thank you... Thank you for thinking of that.- Jennie thanked her sincerely, squeezing her hand lightly.
-No problem! I understand the lack of privacy in your crazy k-pop world, if I understand correctly, you would like to keep most of your life hidden from the paparazzi's gaze and I will do my best to make it so.- vowed Lisa knowing from her friends of the idols how hard they have to fight for their privacy.- Could we discuss how adorable Jasmine looks? I swear to God I've never seen a more adorable baby than her! I can't get the sound of her laughter out of my head! I swear I'll fall asleep tonight and she'll still be in front of my eyes! I'm totally gonna have to get that sound on a tape recorder. It'll be the best anti-stress after work!
-It sounds like you're obsessed with my kid, but trust me when Jasmine starts pouting at you for trying to feed her broccoli looks even more adorable!.- feeling the slight first date nervousness fade, the idol smiled remembering how stubborn her daughter can be.
-What a pleasure to see Pranpriya Manoban!.- when he approached the couple, a middle-aged man said cheerfully, bowing to the girl who had risen from her seat and then turning his gaze to the one for whom she had first exercised her right to co-own the N Grill.- Pardon my rudeness, François Dubois is one of the owners of this place, and you are?
- Kim Jennie Ruby Jane.- the idol also stood up from her seat and bowed.
-It's a pleasure to meet you Mrs. Kim.- for the first time seeing someone in whom the daughter of a good friend was apparently interested said the Frenchman noting how perfect the pair seemed to be for each other.- Let me personally take your order ladies if you are ready of course....
-I'll have the casserole with chicken, rice, vegetables and coconut milk.- again pulling the chair back for the girl, Lisa smiled at her family friend before pulling the chair closer to her and sitting almost right next to her.- Plain water with lemon and those buttered buns.
-Chicken fricassee with mushrooms and the rest I'll trust Pranpria's taste, so buns with butter and water with lemon.- giving the menu to the man, Jennie made her order.
-It will be done in about twenty-five minutes...- François bowed once again and left the table.
Most of the dinner the girls only smiled and laughed discussing absolutely all the topics that came to their minds that ease of losing which was so much feared by the idol did not go anywhere in face-to-face communication, but only became even deeper. It would seem that the girl sitting across from her was not only perfectly educated and gallant, but also a deep thinking strong and scrupulously honest person, which was a little discouraging considering the world in which Jenny had lived since moving to South Korea to realize her dream. Lisa couldn't help but feel a sense of rightness from the moment she was invited into the house and met Jasmine, she was finally convinced that she wanted to be a permanent fixture in the idols life. She also realized what her father was talking about when he told her about his decision to not only marry but to be a father after the first meetings with her mother, apparently sometimes the heart just knows before the head and social norms.
-Nayeon is clearly enjoying this evening.- the idol said, putting her phone away after seeing her friend's second post of the evening, receiving a wide smile from her companion in the same manner seemingly enamored with the baby photos.
-Can ask you a question?.- after the waiter took away the empty plates from the dessert, Lissa put her hand on the back of the girl's chair and received only a nod of her head and a raised eyebrow in response, she continued: -Why do you rarely say Sooyeon? I just noticed that you mostly call her Jasmine, but all your friends talk about her in social media only as Sooyeon. The second question is much more personal and I understand if you don't answer, but yes. What's going on between you and Jasmine's father?
-Decided to get drunk and then get the answers to all the secrets?.- Jennie began playfully, but seeing the sincerity in her eyes, she continued more seriously.- I never thought about it, but I guess it has to do with my fear of going back to Korea. I'm not sure if I can explain it, but I guess I felt like if she was Jasmine, could protect more than if she was Sooyeon. I hope that doesn't sound like crazy nonsense.
-Correct me if I'm wrong.- the Thai woman began her little monologue.- But since you moved here, Korea has been a pretty toxic place, hasn't it? Every move you've made has always been under the public microscope and discussed and when you had daughter you didn't want her to feel the same way, so you chose to try and build a life around the world you had in USA.....
-Wow have you ever tried to be a psychologist Manoban?.- for the first time meeting someone who would be so understanding clarified the girl realizing that she was right.- If we talk about Jasmine's father, he was just not ready to become a father and frankly, if at first heartbroken by this statement, now I just want to never appear.... Jasmine doesn't deserve to be as fickle as he is.
-I agree that any child deserves only the best.- after taking a small sip of water, the fox confirmed her decision and kissed the beautiful lady on the cheek.- She has the most magnificent mother who can give her the best!
-Stop flattering me!.- Jennie whispered, blushing from the kiss.
-It's only the truth.- nodding to the waiter who brought the bill, the Thai woman immediately took out her card and put it in.- I'll go to the bathroom and we can go, okay?
