*Six days later*

*Manha's POV*

It's been six days since Abbu spoke with me about 'Malik'. Even though it's been six days, I feel like these days went away like so fast. It feels so weirdly difficult to make this decision. My parents haven't spoken about the marriage thing since that day. But I know they will be asking me soon enough. I just have to trust Allah and give them the answer. I just have to go to them and say 'Its a yes'. I hope that whatever happens is good, In sha Allah.

I'll be telling it to them during dinner or no, I'll wait till after we finish our dinner and then I'll say it to them. Allah! Why am I being so weak. Stay strong. Have faith in Allah. I said to myself.

*After Dinner*

I was making tea for both my parents. They didn't ask me to but I just needed to push myself to go to them. Once the tea was ready I put it on a tray and went to their room. After knocking for once, my mom opened the door and had a bright smile on her face. She opened the door so quickly, as if they were waiting for me. Its creepy sometimes how parents know you so well, especially my mom. She can even read my mind sometimes, just as Sehrish does.

Oh! Let's wait on their door until the tea gets cold. Get in now. they are just your parents. It's not like they will eat you up or something.

A voice in my head said to me and I shook the thoughts away, then entered the room. Well then I served them the tea and stood there awkwardly until mom asked "Are you here to say something?" I nodded quietly. I cleared my throat and then nervously spoke "I- umm..I just wanted to let you both know that I-I have thought about the mar-marriage and made my decision. Its a..y-yes."

My mom quickly got up from her seat and gave me a sweet motherly hug. I bet she had tears in her eyes. Moms :')

After that dad kissed my forehead and said "May Allah bless you with all the happiness and blessings. We are really proud of you my dear. I'll let Hasan know about your decision. He'd be happy to know." I said my salaam to Mamma and Abbu then beamed a smile before going to my room.

I was happy, very happy indeed because my parents were proud and happy and the reason behind it was me. What more could I ask for? Alhamdulillah. Before heading to bed I prayed to Allah, thanked him for everything and asked for His help in my life..my life..after I'm married. I just pray that Allah eases it for me. I read Surah Nisa because I like it and wanted to calm myself because I was getting very tensed. I even messaged Sehrish about this saying "I'm taking this step of my life Seh. Pray that it feels easy even though I know it needs work. I just hope everything turns out good, In sha Allah. Mamma and Abbu are really happy about my marriage and they are really proud of me. I don't need to ask anything. I know even you will be very happy with me taking this huge step. I love you for everything and every time. I know I'm not dying but still I felt the need to say it to you. Take care. Ma'assalaama." After sending the message to Sehrish I slept.

*Next day*

"Manha, I have spoken with Hasan and he is happy about your decision. But there's one thing he wants." I was surprised at this and looked up at Abbu and asked "And what is that Abbu?" He replied "They want to come and meet you personally." I froze right in my place and couldn't speak a single word. Why can't they just see a picture of me? Why do they want to see me personally? I don't think I can handle all of this. Sehrish? Where is she when I need her the most. OH! I HATE HER SO MUCH. These thoughts were running around my head until Mamma started speaking "It's okay if you don't want to. Your Abbu will inform Malik that you aren't ready yet." I thought about it and then said "It's okay. I'll be ready In sha Allah. I-I too want to...umm..meet them." Ya Rabb! I might look like a tomato right now. Abbu gave me a hug and then said "I'll let them know that they can come over for lunch on this Friday, which is day after tomorrow In sha Allah." I nodded and smiled at him.

Abbu told me about Malik. I knew that he was dad's business partner's son because I had seen him in dad's office earlier. He said that Malik is 24 years old and works as a Project manager for some company whose name I instantly forgot. How great right? I forgot in which company my to be husband works.

*Malik's POV*

I'm Malik Rahman, 24 years old. Only son to Sameera Rahman and Hasan Rahman. Hamza Ali is my best friend. He's more like a brother. Hamza lost his parents when he was 18 and since then he's been living with us. His father and my father were childhood buddies. Me and Hamza are just the same. I wasn't a practicing Muslim before but thanks to my brother Alhamdulillah now I am. He is a true diamond Masha'Allah. He guided me to the right path and what more could I ask for? I am truly blessed Alhamdulillah.

Mr. Ahad and my father are business partners and great friends. He's a great and honest man Masha'Allah.

The first time I saw her was when she came to the office to meet Mr. Ahad. Instead of going to her dad's cabin she accidentally came into my dad's. I was there because me and dad were gonna have lunch together. She looked breathtakingly beautiful, Masha'Allah. I quickly lowered my gaze. As she busted in she said "Assalaamualaikum, dad. I think you forgot-" She stopped and looked up at me and dad when she didn't get any reply. She was looking at some papers while she said all that stuff that's why she didn't know if it was her dad or not. I controlled my laughter at the expression she had on her face when she looked up at me. "WalaikumAssalaam" me and dad said in unison. My dad then continued saying "I think you're in the wrong cabin my dear. Whom do you want to meet?" She replied "I-I am really sorry. I thought it was my dad's cabin. Umm..uh..Could you tell me where Mr. Ahad is?" "It's alright. Mr. Ahad is on the third floor. Malik here can take you to his office." My eyes widened at that. I said "Wh-what?" My dad gave me the *you heard me* stare. I got up from my seat and then opened the door and gestured her to go first. She nodded and said "Jazak'Allahu Khairan" to my dad before leaving. We were on the third floor and I went straight to where Mr. Ahad's cabin was. I knocked and after hearing a "Come in" I opened the door and greeted him & said "Assalaamualaikum. Someone's here to see you." Mr. Ahad gave me a hug and said "WalaikumAssalaam. Who is it?" Upon that Manha entered and Mr. Ahad said "Aah..Manha." I was worried that I might end up staring at Manha in a haram manner so I said my salaam keeping my gaze low and left. I noticed that she wore Hijab and the whole time she was speaking to Dad she had her gaze down, Masha'Allah.

Since that day I have been trying to talk to dad about how I want to be with Manha in a halal way. Dad said that he will ask Mr. Ahad for Manha's hand in marriage. I told Hamza about all this and he said to me "Listen Malik, if her dad thinks that you are a suitable man for her then he will agree. There's no doubt about it. Whatever will happen will be for good In sha Allah. Don't worry bro."

The very next day Dad, Mr. Ahad and I were having lunch when dad asked Mr. Ahad for his daughter's hand. He was silent for a moment and then he had a really bright smile on his face and he said "I am really happy Hasan. But it's Manha who has to decide. So, you will have to wait. Don't worry, I will let you both know soon whatever her answer is." And on the same day he called dad in the evening and said that "Manha said that she needs time to think. I will surely inform you in a week."

It's been a week since that. I think she won't agree to my proposal. Dad shouldn't have even talked to Mr. Ahad about it. I was cut off my thoughts when I heard my dad's phone ringing. He said it's Mr. Ahad. He said "I called to inform you that Manha has accepted your proposal, Alhamdulillah." I was very happy when I heard that. ALHAMDULILLAH. Dad said "Alhamdulillah, I'm glad. But I just have one request. "We just wanted to see her, if that's possible." "Sure. I will tell you when to come. Is that okay?" "It's absolutely fine. I'll come any day you say." "Okay, take care and Ma'assalaama." "Ma'assalaama." They ended the call.

The next day at the office Mr. Ahad told dad that we can see Manha on Friday, which is tomorrow. I was happy that we will be meeting my soon to be wife, In sha Allah.
