The next morning arrived as Chuya woke up to the smell of bacon. He stared out of the bright window as he watched a bird chirping on a tree branch out of his window. Chuya sighed and sat up in bed from laying on his left side. The blankets slipped off of his body, exposing his bruises and scars. Chuya held his head and felt a huge hangover.

"Fuck...my head..." Chuya got out of bed and grabbed an over sized shirt and sweatpants. He slipped them on and then opened his bedroom door that he slammed last night. "I drank that much again?" He asked himself as he stepped into his living room, seeing it's empty. "Is...Derek here?" Chuya asked himself as he walked into the kitchen. "Hey-" Chuya's eyes widened as he stopped at the kitchen entrance. He stared at Dazai who was cooking breakfast. He has toast toasting in the toaster, scrambled eggs cooking in the pan, bacon cooking in another pan, and pancakes in another pan on the stove. Dazai was flipping the pancakes as Chuya stared up at Dazai in shock. Dazai looked at him and smiled.

"Morning." He said as Chuya blinked and then pinched his arm. "Uh..." Dazai looked at him confused. "Why did you do that?"

"Aren't you supposed to be in jail?" Chuya asked as Dazai smiled softly and looked down at the stove. He thankfully doesn't remember what happened last night...

"You must have been so drunk you don't remember now." Dazai said as Chuya rolled his eyes.

"Stop gas lighting me you asshole." He said as Dazai looked at him. Chuya leaned against the wall.

"You were...I called you last night, check your phone." He said and looked at Chuya as Chuya looked at him confused. "I-..." Dazai smiled softly and looked back at the stove.  "I asked you about your bruises..." He said as Chuya then remembered everything. His eyes widened. "We don't need to discuss that though...I'm sorry I pressured you last night to the point you got mad." He said as Chuya looked down. He made fists and looked down at the ground.

"It's ok...don't feel bad." Chuya looked up at him. "I appreciate it..." He looked at the food. "That smells and looks great." He said as Dazai smiled at Chuya.

"Good." Dazai shut the stove off and put the food on a huge plate. "I was going to bring you breakfast in bed and leave." Dazai said and looked down. "I feel like...this may have been a mistake..." He said as Chuya listened. "Especially because you clearly weren't saying hey to me when you first entered the kitchen..." He said as Chuya blushed and his eyes widened.

"No...don't leave please." Chuya said as Dazai set the plate down on the kitchen table. He looked at Chuya as Chuya blushed softly. "I'm sorry for whatever I said or did to you last night you didn't like...I'm sorry for making you feel just now that I didn't want you here..." Chuya made fists in his pockets. "I just..." Chuya looked up at Dazai. "I don't want to talk about my bruises...but I also don't want you to leave me." Chuya smiled softly. "I think...if I remember correctly..." Chuya looked at the plate of food. Dazai grabbed the toast and buttered it. "We revealed something to each other we've hid for a long time..." He said and looked up at Dazai. Dazai smiled softly and blushed.

"I think we did..." Dazai grabbed a fork and knife. "Where do you want to eat your breakfast?"

"What if we eat in the living room?"'he asked as Dazai nodded. He grabbed the plate as Chuya smiled and led him into the living room. They sat on the couch as Dazai set the plate and utensils down on the coffee table. They sat on the couch next to the table as Chuya faced Dazai. "I'll tell you...about my bruises when I'm ready..." He said as Dazai nodded. "I think...being apart..." Chuya looked down. "Made us realize our feelings for one another."

"I do too." Dazai smiled as he looked down at Chuya's hands. "I'm still going to mess with you though, Slug." He smirked as Chuya laughed and placed a fist near his mouth as Dazai blushed at how adorable he looked when he laughed.
