It was night and another typical day for you to go stealing. Today you find yourself in an art museum and snatched a painting before leaving through the rooftop. However... as you got up you noticed a familiar figure standing just right in front of you. It was the famous dark knight hero Diluc.

To be honest it's no surprise for you to see him since he manages to catch you every time. You've been playing this cat-and-mouse game for a long time, but Diluc never manages or even tries to lock you up. "I thought you're done with crime" Diluc says, his voice monotonous befitting his nonchalant demeanor.

"I was never done with crime you know? It's been my thing, and you can never stop me" you say with a smirk as you look at Diluc before heading down the ladder on the side of the rooftop. Then you scanned the streets making sure there is no one else walking.

You were never afraid of the Dark Hero, you always had a way to escape from being caught. There's just something captivating about him, the way he manages to always stop you from committing crimes, although he never really does anything to you...

You continue your usual banter, teasing Diluc and making him slightly frustrated. He looked annoyed from your teasing as usual. "You're wasting your time committing these types of crimes you know" he says in a stern tone.

"Oh? Then what do you suggest I should do to not waste time then hm? It's so fun doing these things, it feels addicting, like I never want to stop you know?" you say chuckling and your voice can be heard echoing through the empty street.

"There's so many things you can do better than being a criminal" Diluc said, trying to remain serious. You know that deep down that he was trying to be serious, but in reality he was actually enjoying himself.

He enjoys listening to your sarcastic remarks. You felt that somehow he was fond of you, like you were his favorite criminal.

"It's bad for you to keep playing around like this." Despite Diluc's comment, his tone was still nonchalant.

"Come on you're just saying that, you try to be tired of me but in the end you just follow me around and try to catch me... isn't that right? Because without me then who would you be catching every night?" you say in a playful manner.

"No one's interested in you. Not even the Knights." Diluc says ignoring your playful tone. "You're just annoying, that's it." He continued, sounding harsh, but you knew too well that he wasn't serious about it. Deep down, he knew you and actually cared about you, despite his lack of show in his emotions.

"I only care about stopping crimes. I don't care about you as a person." He's still trying to sound serious, despite his true feelings about you.

"Mhm yeah yeah.." you continued, not seeming to believe what he was saying as you kept walking on the street.

"Hey, wait." regardless of his harsh tones, you knew he genuinely wanted you to stay with him. He always wanted to be with you and you knew it too well. Even though he doesn't show it emotionally.

"You're not going anywhere." He finally said, not letting you continue your walk. "You know the only reason you keep doing crimes is to see me." He finally broke his serious tone, looking genuinely intrigued and amused...

You laughed as you heard his words and turned around to face him again. "Mhm you wish, I just like to have a collection of these paintings, you should see how many I already managed to get all these nights. You would be amazed! Or actually... nevermind, because you already witnessed it all happen"

"How can you even say that so confidently?" Diluc said, sounding intrigued by what you replied, and once again ignoring your sarcasm. "Do you think you're doing this for yourself? You always want to be caught, whether subconsciously or not. You want me to stop you, you want me to capture you."

Now, Diluc looked truly honest with his words. His tone and expression were also more open, although he looked slightly shy, as in he was starting to realize his true feelings about you...

"Oh it's been years already come on diluc, you should've captured me long ago, but you didn't, what's a hero doing letting the criminal free? You're actually doing me a favor here" you say with a wink.

You were right. He would've arrested you long ago if he really wanted you to be punished, but he knew deep down he liked you. You saw a side of him that you had never seen before. A man who is serious and firm with his work, but soft and loving once he's found the perfect person for him. Your relationship with Diluc seemed to be moving.

"You're the one doing me a favor." He says returning the wink and giggling a bit..

"Oh really? And what am I doing that is making this all easy for you?" You say, a bit curious by what he meant by that. "You're always keeping me entertained." Diluc replied. "You're keeping me interested, and giving me motivation to work. You're my favorite criminal."

Now, you were both becoming more affectionate with each other, Diluc is starting to get more comfortable with his feelings for you. You were able to bring the best out of him, and he finally realized that you were more important than just to be stopped.

"Awww that's cute, does that mean I can steal more to get you motivated??" You say jokingly.

Diluc laughed at your teasing joke. Now, you were both teasing each other, and Diluc finally accepted his feelings for you. "Of course, please do," he said. "I'll be waiting for you every night." He was no longer annoyed by your stealing and teasing, actually looking forward to catching you and spending time together.

You chuckled at his words and sighed before looking up at the night sky. "You know.. I like nights like these, it's so peaceful and quiet, not a lot of people are walking around and sometimes you can just sit down and watch this view.. Ahh it's a dream" you say as you continue to walk with Diluc now by your side.

Diluc was also enjoying this night. It was just him and you in this city, away from the crowds and noise. He was starting to develop a special interest in you, and even a romantic attraction. "Yes, it is quite soothing." Diluc said. "I enjoy this night, and I enjoy the company I get as well, especially yours."
