Autumn came and her eyes were finally beginning to water.
Finally, her glassy eyes began to feel just a little less dry and shrivelled.
She had finally grasped her hands onto a little bit of hope. For the first time in months she began to see people walking past in coats, the brown and green hues filling her vision.
Autumn leaves would brush in through the door and scatter upon the floor.
Everything was so close to her-but she couldn't quite touch it yet.A high pitched chime of a bell brought her back to her senses-the restaurant door had opened, bringing bitter autumn air and dead crispy leaves that scattered upon the floor. He walked through.
That ageing seat that he had once sat in was now filled yet again with his undeniable presence.
In that moment, the spell that consumed her body was broken. She would blink her eyes, moving both her head and her hands. If she wanted to, she could pick up an auburn autumn leaf and could finally run away, never having to look at the restaurant again.
But she didn't.
Even if her physical body could do it, her heart would never let her.All she could see was his blank stone cold face in front of her.
He was finally there to save her, to take her home, she was safe again."You can't just stay here."
His cold demeanour sunk into her skin, made its way into her blood and the air around her like poison, killing her spirit in an instant. The spell remained and so did she.
Yet again, he left her there.
