The only way to describe Oliver is that he's the personification of an art school student who spent too much time on his phone with unrestricted internet access. Because thats what he is.
He's a scrawny loser looking guy, he's kind of tall and skinny, and looks like his diet consists of a litre of monster energy and a cupcake. (Probably because it does.)Oliver was generally content with his life. Or as content as an art major can be. They're all stressed and struggling all the time, probably barely grasping at their sanity.
As an art major, he spends most of his time at museums, outdoors, on pinterest, trying to find any and all form of inspiration.
And usually failing miserably.Despite the vivid color of the paints he used, his life was dull, and mainly uneventful. He's given up on trying to change that fact, and is living his day to day life just, existing for the most part. He doesn't do much except sit in his 'atelier' (a corner of his living room which he's blocked off with bookshelves to try feel professional).
Though on the rare occasion, like today, when he actually goes outside, he wants to try act like a human being, and not the human personification of the arkwardness of every middle school social studies class when the classroom is divided with socialists and 6 guys who are far too into the nazi regime for it to be a joke anymore.
So today, he pulled on something he calls decent (A not too crusty Metallica shirt and black cargo shorts.), and went to the local art museum.
Theres a new exhibit, he was curious about it. The exhibit was valled "Death by Monochrome", and contained rooms of monochrome paintings, with one singular vivid and colorful painting admist them.
Ironic. Quite ironic.
He gazed at the paintings, taking in every aspect he could in a desperate attempt to try get through his artblock. But nothing.
No inspiration, nothing at all.Oliver gave up, turning to leave and starting to walk away.
Whilst not paying attention, he bumped into someone. A guy about his age, the guy is dressed in color, standing out amongst the monochromatic surroundings.
"Oh, sorry!" The guy said with a shy smile, quickly walking away before Oliver could even process the event.
Bumping into him was like a wave of inspiration.
He knows what his next painting is going to be definetly. He manages to regain his composure and snap back to reality, but when he looks around, the guy he saw was completely gone, nowhere to he seen. That bright speck of color had left his grasp, and everything seemed dull and monochrome once more.
