Book of the Month June- Oneshot

This month's category is oneshot! And the oneshot book of the month is...

"All I Wanted Was to Make You Happy" by NutsAndBees ! This is a heartbreaking oneshot about an Eevee who talks about how amazing her trainer is and how much she loves him, but the truth becomes more and more apparent as the story moves along! This month, only I, Marz, will be critiquing. So without further ado...

Honestly, I'm having a hard time thinking of mistakes in this book. However; it isn't perfect, and a found one or two. But first, we'll start with the good.

This book made me cry, honestly. Which mean that in a one part story, you managed to get me attached to Eevee enough that I felt bad for her. For example, SPOILER When her trainer left her, I was on the verge of tears. I wanted to punch her trainer square in the face, honestly. SPOILER END

Next, I love how no matter what her trainer did, Eevee still saw him as perfect. Even when it became very evident that he was a bad trainer( she still managed to convince herself that he was like this because she didn't do well enough. It was a nice touch that made the book even sadder. Now, onto the bad.

The battle scenes seemed a little rushed, except for the one Eevee took part in. With the Pokemon the opponent had fully evolved, I found it hard to believe that they could be taken out in one or two hits. Unless you did that to emphasize her trainer's strength, then I personally think you should make them a little longer.

And... Er... I think that's it! So, my rating is 9/10! Good job!
