The Savior (book two)

"Hey, you okay."

Serenity was running in the woods, and then all of a sudden, she got shot. Two people walked up to her. It was Chirs and Melissa. She didn't realize it at first she was fighting the urge not to kill them. Before she passed out from the pain, she growled at them as much as she could. When she woke up, she looked around her and saw that they had brought her to the morgue.

"The Morgue? I'm not dead yet. I come out from hiding, and this happens." Serenity said, hissing in pain.

"You're a very powerful creature. It's a private down here, and this is going to hurt. Try not to roar or, in your case, levitate the building." Melissa told Serenity. Serenity grabbed onto Chris, making him grunted in pain.

"You got anything for the pain?"Chris asked.

"No! I can take it." Serenity growled.

"It's for me."

"What were you doing in the woods?" Melissa asked.

"Running!"

"At 2am?" Melissa questioned.

"I heard screams. Like someone-being-murdered type of screams. And so I thought since they were already dead, why not eat them." Serenity grunts.

"Did you see anything?" Chris asked.

"No, just blood. And a whole lot of determination. That's all I remember until someone shot me! Serenity yelled, holding onto Chirs tighter, making him bleed.

"You were about to tear us apart." Melissa told Serenity.

"It's not her fault. When demons like her smell blood, they think of food. It drives them crazy." Chris defended Serenity.

"Sorry. The bullet is deep. I'm trying not to Rupert something." Melissa apologized.

"It's okay. But if you don't pull it out now, I will not be responsible when I eat you. I haven't eaten in weeks." Serenity growled.

"Malia, enough! He's been through enough, trust me." Serenity said, taking Malia off of Theo.

"Thanks." Theo whispered.

"You okay? With everything that happened." Serenity asked.

"Yea." Theo smiled.

"I can put you back in the ground anytime." Liam said.

"You also need a transformer that can handle five billion Joules of electricity. I know where to find one, and I can show you how it works. I'll tell you if Malia promises not to kill me." Theo told Laim.

"She promises."

"No, I don't. We're really gonna do this? Trust him?" Malia asked Scott.

"You got a better idea." Hayden said.

"Malia, give me your hand, please." Malia gave Serenity her hand, and so Serenity put a spell on Malia so she can't hurt Theo. "There she won't kill you. Now tell them where they can find the transformer." Serenity told Theo.

"I'll do it." Serenity said.

"No!" Theo abject.

"Relax, I got nothing to lose." Serenity smiled.

"Okay. As soon as Serenity is out, Scott and Liam, you guys close the gates. Then I'll put down a barrier of mountain ash." Mason told everyone.

"I'll be on the roof to take down the Rot." Corey said.

"And we'll be the lookout for another ghost riders." Hayden said.

"What do you think, Scott?"

"I think it's the best idea that we have right now." Scott answered.

"As long as everything goes perfectly and he doesn't escape and kill us all." Theo said.
