eyes so brown they looked black with a haunting gaze that pierced straight withincurls that had a thought of their own and lips that whispered of heavenly sins
skin loved by the sun the sun so fervently it left the mark of the night sky in her skin
the universe was wicked, unamended
she could never see past the darkness and her demons i defended
she had a beauty that brought madness that my soul fermented
until i could almost inhale her hair, even in my dreams still sweet-scented
my bane, my angel, my tormentor
your love is a curse, ripped me into pieces
and swallowed me in your dark centre
i find myself cursing the same black eyes that shone like embers
that made me lay down my arms and declare that in your name this war i render
now i get high so i won't remember
