(Author Note: Apologies it took so long but it's finally here! Un-edited version.)When Li Xiu woke up, she took it upon herself to cleanse Tong Yao's room of the ungodly amount of pink. While there isn't anything wrong with the color pink, the amount administered was crazy, and honestly stereotyped females. She stripped the room of its odd decorative elements, leaving the furniture and bedding alone. She decided that later on she and Tong Yao would go shopping to update the room. Nodding in approval, Li Xiu went ahead and set up a workstation for herself, deciding to get started on some character boards.

When designing characters for herself, she had more creative liberties. The characters didn’t have to follow a specific period style or color scheme. They could be whatever she wanted. So, here she was hours later, sitting at her new workspace researching the style's and abilities she wanted for her character. The character she was currently freestyling followed a mixture of two different styles.
Li Xiu made her character's style a mix of the 1990s minimalism decade where grunge began to take hold, and mixed in the men's mod (modern) trend that spread from the UK outward during 1965. In short, she was after a classy grunge look. Several idea boards were scattered around here with various clothing ideas and color palettes, but she still hadn't decided on something. Li Xiu's choice of clothing was crucial to how she portrayed her character. In addition, she still had to figure out how she would adapt the style to her character's skill set to make the function realistic.
Stretching her arms out she looked through her sketches making notes on what to improve or add, eventually her stomach called for food and she could no longer deny it such a luxury. Grabbing her phone she made her way to the stairway just outside Tong Yao’s room but stopped short at the sight she was bearing witness to. Pulling her phone out she started recording Lao K dancing not bothering to stifle her giggles, it didn't matter if she did considering he had headphones on. Admittedly he was actually pretty good, but Li Xiu could make the guess that it was certainly a rare sight for someone to witness. The main reason she made that assumption was due to the fact that it looked like everyone else was gone from the base.
Suddenly the doorbell to the base rang, figuring it may have been one of the other member’s Li Xiu paid no attention to it, too entertained by Lao K to care. If Li Xiu were being honest she’d have to admit that his dancing was adorable, though knowing her she likely never would, at least not aloud. Soon in her peripheral vision she made out the figure’s of Tong Yao’s parents “Things seemed to have gotten a little more interesting.” Lao K turned around dancing a bit more before seeing the people behind him, stopping clearly embarrassed he pulled his headphones off. Li Xiu collapsed in fits of laughter dropping her phone, this action of course caused the three to divert their attention to her. Two of whom were confused while the other glared towards where the laughter was coming from and hiding his embarrassment.
After a few moments, Li Xiu pulled herself together and stopped the recording on her phone, picking herself up, she bounded down the stairs. "Hi! Mr. and Mrs. Tong! How have you been?! I hope Yao Yao hasn't been giving you too much trouble!"
“Oh, not at all.” Mr. Tong smiles nervously, having prevented his wife from saying anything otherwise.
Rolling her eyes, Mrs. Tong pulls Li Xiu into a hug "It's good to see you again dear! It's nice to have you back home, I certainly hope you've taken up a better job than that game designing stuff in America."
Tentatively hugging back Li Xiu chuckled nervously"Ah, um no. I'm still doing character designing but I've signed on with a much bigger and better paying company so there's nothing really to worry about for me financially. Anyway, it's wonderful to see you guys!! How about I make some tea and we can chat for a bit while waiting for the others to get back."
