On this day I was just chilling in my room because it was terribly rainy outside. I didn't have anything to do and nor did I intend to.The room was filled with silence even the Crickets didn't want to keep me company. When suddenly my phone that had been quite for almost 2 months ranI turned it on and I text from my friend Lindsey that's what she wrote,
My ex is getting out of rehab today and afterwards we are going to have a party at my place. Would you like to come with me? I know you're not the usual party time girl, text me back if you are in.
Those were the exact thoughts that I had in my head when I read this message
Is she kidding I might look like the quiet type but I hadn't been out in months of course I am in.
In this endless rain also had taken a toll on me so I didn't even mind that her ex-boyfriend was getting out of somewhere but not everybody goes to so I grabbed what I could throw into My backpack and was about to head out. When the phone in my pocket buzzed again
And I saw another text message Girl just keep in mind my ex is kind of weird he got weird ways so if something gets out of line you're on your own.
I was like well that's reassuring. I thought you got my back on this but whatever a person like me got to lose, So I ran downstairs, opened the door and ran full speed before anybody noticed that I'm not there and I finally felt free. I was walking on the sidewalk When I'm black Mazda park nearby and Lindsey room down the window and said get in
I got in and didn't even realize that this is going to be a wild ride
When we arrived into the building and he was released all I saw was that thing looking teenager with long hair black lipstick on I didn't think he was weird he just seemed kind of old apparently and he wasn't particularly please with being really so early it seemed to me but I didn't pay too much attention because you know we are going to party. All the way to her house he was quiet and didn't pay much attention to me.
When we arrived everything seemed to come back to the usual. My number one friend just ran off with some of her other friends and I was left with this pale thin piece of work.
I was thinking to myself why would you invite me to the party if you're not going to be there with me and then I remember the text that she sent me about that I'm on my own and I finally count down because well I'm here now no purpose and complaining
If I'm stuck here let's at least have a conversation with that one right over there
He Was sitting with a Sketchbook and a Sharpie in his hand his long hair was Dripping on the pages He seems to be completely driven by what he was doing But I being such a great conversation starter Started with the most basic question everyone and you want to could ever ask what you doing there!
I write songs and stuff like But nobody listens to them because they just don't care everybody seems to judge me on what I wear and how I am that's why probably me and Lindsey broke up in the first place you can certainly see that she is not listening type can you
I decided to keep quiet for a moment just wait for him to open up a little bit more
Just started to move a little bit closer And before I knew it. His long pale hand was on my shoulder I was shivering by then and it is almost as he felt it.,
Oh don't be so uptight
I I'm not uptight your hands are just cold
Oh yeah what about now He squeeze me tighter and I almost fell on him
For some reason I knew that I should resist but I can't I don't want to for that matter
I looked up at him and so that the course of his smile seem to Slit up a bit he was smiling\
What's your smirking at I bumped my elbow into him to look angry
Not cold anymore huh
Of course not you're almost suffocated me
You didn't seem to be against it, nobody ever hungry like that did they ?
I wanted to protest but I knew that I was lying so I said no
Of course not because look at us we are a freaks right even your best friend brought you here to look better in front of you and dump me on you too
Just go take a look he turned around and I couldn't believe my eyes she was standing by a pool table snapping Pictures of us or her old camera and pointing at us giggling with her friends
And then he turned back around and said well there you go next week what those pictures are going to hang in your Walker never mind too.
I couldn't believe how she can betray me like that but then he cut off my anger with one simple phrase want to get out of here I have a place we can hang out there
It took me to towards parking lot building with a lot of Graffitis and ramps on there Welcome to my cousin it's my little Club usually if there's a lot of people there and we call ourselves The Vultures Since we don't fit in with the normal ones you know you're The only one I brought here since I got into rehab and now I'm out so you're probably the one who would be there most of them are in juvie for stealing or something but maybe one day we will get together.
He said on the floor and gestured to me to sit with him so tell me if you are ready to be an outcast.
I was was Born Ready
I didn't even realize that I answered so quickly and how I can trust someone that I just met but I said what I said and I went to my soul was into and still is so even if it's going to be just the two of us doing random silly things throwing rocks in somebody's window or spitting where we should be spitting I found my tribe even if it was just too weird because it's one of his songs said I don't care if you were listening today I wasn't meant for it anyway so that's how my Adventures within the The Vultures started With a hug of a teenager who look like death my life became something more than than just existence. I don't know what this relationship will bring to me or to him but I just love myself for going to that party where nobody needs me as well as him so the two of us can form a bond.
