Chapter 2:
Briley's PoV:
I've been in here a little more then a week and haven't showered yet. I got a job in the library as well. I was putting up some books when two black girls walk up to me. "Sup, I'm Pousey and this is Taystee." I looked at her. "I'm Ace." We dapped. "So you work here now?" I nodded. "Yeah, I love books." Pousey smiled. "We do too. Ight we gon' help you, ight? You gon' eat with us from now on, ight?" I nodded my head. "Fo'sho." We dapped. "C'mon, we gotta go to breakfast." The girl known as Taystee said.
-Cafeteria-
As we walked in people got silent looking at me and the two black girls. I guess this was weird or something. I got in line and got my food and went sit where Taystee and Pousey sat. This girl with crazy eyes looked at me. "What is this white girl doing here?" Pousey spoke up. "Dis Ace, she's one of us now. Ace that's Crazy Eyes." I nodded at her. Another big black girl came over. "Ace, this is Black Cindy, Black Cindy, this is Ace." I nodded. We all fell into a small conversation. I looked up to see these Latinas walk in. "Yo, I got a question." I stated. "What is it?" Black Cindy asked me, I look at them then back at the Latina. "Who's that fine Latina?" I say and they all look over there. "Oh, I guess you talking about Maritza. She's the one in between Daya and Flaca, behind them is Blanca and Maria. The two old ladies are Aledia, who's Dayas mom, and Gloria." Poussey says, I nod my head. "Don't even think about it, they're very high class." Taystee said high class in a fake polish accent and a lot of sarcasm. Before I could say something Crazy Eyes beat me to it. "Have you ever ate bugs?" She asked me and I was honestly confused. "Um, no..?" She nods and turns away, I look at Poussey confused and she just shakes her head lifting her hands up. I see the little Latina looking at me with a glare. I gave her a confused face and she rolled her eyes. Well then. I see this big white butch walking over to us. "What you want Boo?" Poussey asks her, she just shrugs. The lady known as Boo spoke. Just introducing myself to the new inmate. My name's Boo." I look at her weird. "Ace." We dapped. "So what's it like sharing a room with a tranny?" I look at them confused. "What?" I ask Pousey. "Your bunk mate is transgender." She looks at me like I should know this. "What?" Boo rolled her eyes. "Your bunk mate had a dick before a vagina." After Boo said that I get up and March out the cafe in search of Sophia. She got some explaining to do.
Maritza PoV:
I see Ace walk out in a hurry. I looked at her table to see Boo returning to hers. I shrug it off. "So, guys what's been going on with Yall?" I asked as we started a random conversation. Not really caring about that Ace chick.
