Chapter 17

Luna's point of view

The next day in the afternoon we were doing training battles class 1-A versus class 1-B "alright Class A is against Class B and to make it fair we need 1 person from Class A to be on Class B's side." Aizawa said to which I left my class and walked over to class B's side willingly which caused everyone to become shocked by it. Aizawa then introduced Shinso to everyone and I saw a slight blush on Elizabeth's face when she saw Shinso. After Aizawa and Vlad Kind explained things teams were made.

Round 1 had Shinso, Kirishima, Denki, Tsu, and Koda vs Ibara, Kosei, Hiryu, and Jurota

Round 2 had Momo, Tokoyami, Hagakure, and Aoyama vs Kendo, Shihai, Manga, and Kinoko

Round 3 had Elizabeth, Shoto, Iida, Oijiro, and Shoji vs Pony, Sen, Juzo, and TetsuTetsu

Round 4 had Bakugo, Jiro, Sero, and Sato vs Yosetsu, Setsuna, Kojiro, Togaru, and myself

Round 5 had Midoriya, Uraraka, Mina, and Mineta vs Monoma, Shinso, Yui, Nirengeki, and Reiko

I bounced my leg nervously as the 1st teams went out to the area for their match, when the match started class A ended up with the short end of the stick when they were ambushed and Kirishima was captured, but in the end class A team 1 succeeded thanks to Shinso. When all the students rejoined round 2 teams headed into the battlefield, I knew that is was going to be a tough match given Kendo and Momo had worked closely together before. The moment the round started and Tokoyami released dark shadow I had a bad feeling and I was right when dark shadow tried to attack them, after that I left trying to not panic since my match was against Bakugo of all people. I was sitting near the ground gamma exit trying to remain calm. I zoned out not noticing my ears had changed slightly and that two more tails had appeared. I heard someone approach and I saw it was Todoroki, Elizabeth. "hey sis, you alright?" Elizabeth asked sitting across from me. Todoroki and Bakugo stayed standing, I responded with "yea I am fine just nervous, just be glad you did not end up against your own boyfriend Elizabeth." I said looking off to the side. She did not day anything, but then Todoroki said, "is it me or do your wolf ears look different?" to which I was confused then stood up and Elizabeth adds "Todoroki is right and you have two more tails." I looked behind me and I did in fact have 3 tails. "you guys head back the second round is ending soon and you guys are next also do not tell anyone about my tails I will reveal it during my match" They both nodded and left, I stayed where I was for 5 minutes luckily the two extra tails vanished as I returned to everyone. The 2nd match was won by Class B tying the score. Round three was getting ready to start as the students of 1-B on my team approached me to come up with a plan, we move out of ear shot of Bakugo's team I knew Jiro would not use her quirk yet. "So what are your guys quirks?" I asked my teammates. The 3rd match had started already though I did not pay attention. "I can create and release a glue like substance" Kojiro said then Yosetsu spoke up saying "I can fuse things together on a atomic level." I nodded to both males and turned to the other members of the team. "I can create blades anywhere on my body." Togaru said and then Setsuna spoke saying, "my quirk allows me to spilt my body up into around 50 pieces and I can control them and I regrow those pieces if they become unusable or destroyed." I nodded and said "Bakugo is the main concern on that team, I will face him myself Jiro, Sero, and Sato all have strengths and weaknesses. Setsuna it is in your best interest to try and avoid Sero because his tape could trap your pieces. So maybe go for Jiro. Yosetsu and Kojiro your quirks combined could best be used to combat Sero as long as you do not get caught by him, and Togaru, Sato is known for his endurance but if you can keep him occupied we could win this." They all nodded in agreement and none of them argued. Round 3 ended in a draw since more people were unconscious then in jail. My team and I headed out to the area we were starting at and we choose to in the end stick with the original plan I had made based on quirks. We all moved out sticking together at first, We disrupted Jiro's listening with Setsuna's body pieces and I take the opening to force Bakugo away from his team smirking "well, well, just you and me one on one again Bakugo like the Sports Festival all over again." I said mockingly to which Bakugo snapped back "Shut up Luna this time I will kick your ass." I laughed and said "bring it on" Bakugo charged at me and I dodged all his blasts using my quirk in more ways than a lot of people could count. Bakugo was becoming annoyed and used his AP Shot Auto Cannon to try and stop me not realizing I got behind him until I flipped him over my shoulder. Bakugo and I kept fighting until I realized his other team mates had rejoined making me realize that my teammates most lightly got captured. "I AM NOT GOING OUT LIKE THIS!!" I yelled and let my wings unfold and my two other tails become visible "time for an ultimate move or two" I mutter as I lift off the ground above my classmates as gold electricity surrounds me. "Hiroshima impact!!" I yell and aim my hands at the ground as multiple large bolts of lightning strikes the area knocking Jiro, and Sero out. I then used my quirk to blacken the sky with a thunderbird as I slipped into the shadows briefly. I hear Sato and Bakugo looking for me, I ambush them with skeletons from behind "time for some revenge" I growled and jumped up "Skeletal beast!!" When I hit the ground again the ground shakes and a giant skeleton comes out of the ground electrified. I buy time using it to get Jiro and Sero to the jail, when I return I see Bakugo and Sato defeat the giant Skeleton, but it wore Sato out leaving Bakugo and me again. After about 2 minutes I took a hit that sent me flying backwards and ending up unconscious. When I came too I was in recovery girl's office and Elizabeth was there and told me that Bakugo's team ended up winning. That tore me apart, but I hid the negative effect the new had on me as Elizabeth and I rejoined everyone at the viewing area. I watched the final round happen and avoided all form of human interaction. Knowing that my team lost was hurting me and I hated myself for this, I silently began to cry and turned to leave the area to head to the dorms early being done with the day emotionally, mentally, and physically. As I was walking to leave I bumped into Bakugo who grabbed my waist with one arm and made me look up at him with his free hand. I quickly brushed him away and left before I started crying, I made it back to the main campus and changed back into my school uniform and then went and visited Mei quickly to ask her if she could build a collapsible seamline version of Bakugo's gauntlets that would work with my qurk. She agreed and told me she would let me know when they are ready. I then went to the classroom and dropped off my hero costume case and grab my book bag before making the walk to the dorms. Once in the dorm building I went to my dorm and closed the curtains and shut and locked the door. I sat on my bed curled up in the dark blaring music through my headphones. I must of fallen asleep at some point because i was awoken by someone shaking me awake. I rubbed my eyes and noticed it was my mom, "hey sweetie I am sorry to wake you but Aizawa needs to know why you left early? Is everything alright?" I sat up and said "I left because I was and still am emotionally and mentally unstable. I am weak and useless I could not even secure a win for my team and all my hard training was just a waste in the end. I will never be a pro hero at this point. Bakugo is going to break up with me once he realizes how pathetically weak I am now... now please leave me alone.." I looked away putting my headphones back on as my mom left shutting the door behind her.

Bakugo's point of view

I was waiting in the hall with Aizawa when Midnight returned from Luna's dorm room "what did she tell you?" Aizawa asked to which Midnight said "She left because she was and still is mentally and emotionally unstable, and she hates herself for failing to succeed in her battle and feels that she will never become a pro hero and that Bakugo will break up with her once he realizes how weak she is now." That had me taken aback and it explains why she was crying when she left. I mentally cursed at myself and went to my dorm to find my phone. Once I found my phone I texted Luna right away asking if I could come to her dorm so we could talk.

Luna's point of view

I had seen Bakugo's text and had replied back with a solid no and then ended up falling asleep crying.
