NARRATOR

At this point, in the story, Y/N is assigned as the producer of a collaboration that consists of Exo Kai, Red Velvet Seulgi, NCT Dream Jeno, and his best friend Karina from Aespa.

Y/N POV:

As I took my seat at the table I couldn't feel bothered but saw Karina and Jeno in my peripheral view of them exchanging looks and giggling, I know I shouldn't be bothered but c'mon it's my brother and my best friend I'm basically in the middle. As the meeting ended Lee Soo-Man pulled me aside to give me another work-related assignment and it was to be the choreographer for the collab, and you know I couldn't turn it down. After the quick convo, it was time to head down to the studio.

KARINA POV:

As were heading to the studio Y/N was being a little distant, I asked him if he was okay but he just completely ignored me and kept walking. I was a little hurt but Jeno distracted me from it.

(BOLD-KARINA) (NORMAL-JENO)

"Don't mind him he's like that when his mind is focused on work".

"Yeah, but he never ignores me completely he would give at least a quick answer".

"Maybe something is bothering him you should talk to him after this".

"Yeah for sure going to talk to him he's usually not like that, but enough about Y/n I wanted to ask if you were busy this weekend".

"I was supposed to hang out with Y/n but you can join if you want".

"Oh, I was hoping it was just us two but I could join you guys".

Y/N POV:

As were heading towards the studio I slightly overheard the convo between Karina and Jeno.

"Oh, I was hoping it was just us two but I could join you guys".

Weird of her to ask him that but I didn't give it much thought. As we entered the studio the others sat on the couch. I asked Kai sunbae to head to the booth first so he could sing the lines as best suited for him. After Kai sunbae's recording sessions were over; we had our first break.

~DURING BREAK~

Y/N left the room to get some fresh air. Karina noticed Y/N was no longer in the room, so she asked Jeno where Y/N went. He had no clue so she left the room to find Y/N, she tried calling Y/N but it went to voicemail. She thought of one place you were probably at. After some time she found you at the rooftop.

(BOLD-Y/N) (Underlined-Karina)

There you are I've been looking everywhere for you, Karina said. Y/N turned around.

You know you could've just called me, Y/N said coldly.

Karina went closer to Y/N. I did, it went to voicemail. What's wrong with you, are you okay? Karina said.

It's nothing I'm fine you can go back inside it's pretty chilly out here, you might get a cold, Y/n said.

No, I'm not leaving until you tell me what's wrong with you, Karina said.

Okay, I'll tell you but first here *puts jacket in her* better??

Yes, very comfy so now tell me. (sarcastic tone)

There's nothing wrong with me, I'm perfectly fine. (Y/n said while moving towards the door and going back inside).

You're lying I know you. (trying to pull Y/n back).

There you guys are breaks over so let's head back to the studio. (Jeno said).

Y/n immediately rushed back to the studio avoiding Karina's question.

KARINA POV:

After the recording sesh, I waited until everyone was gone before I could talk to Y/n. I was still bothered about the conversation earlier.

(BOLD-KARINA) (NORMAL-Y/N)

"Y/N can we talk about earlier, you left without answering my question".

"I already told you I'm fine don't need to worry". (packing up and getting ready to leave.)

"You might say you're fine but I know deep down you're not okay". 

(sighed) "I'll tell when the time is right okay, just not right now". 

"Okay but please promise me I'll be the first person you'll tell". 

"Hmm. Do you have a ride back home?"

"I'm taking her home, she was going to ask you earlier but I volunteered since you looked busy".

We both looked at the door and saw Jeno waiting with his bag in hand.
