The Minor Curse

My sense of vision returns to me, but my eyes are met with a strange sight. I'm lying down horizontally on a very comfy (probably expensive) mattress.

"An unfamiliar ceiling..." I mumble to myself.

Based on my new surroundings, I come to the conclusion that I haven't returned by death. The room I'm resting in resembles that of a high class hotel room. I know it's technically a mansion, but I've never slept in one in my world. There's plenty of decorations and expensive looking furniture in this small room alone. I feel like a disruptive abnormality in the presence of all the rich decor. I eventually decide to stop admiring the floorboards and attempt to pull off my covers.

"Hggnk..."

My arms feel completely strained. My fingers hurt like they've been significantly jammed. Any attempt to move them results in pain signals shooting up my nerves.

"Ow..ow..."

I guess I overworked my body during the fight with Elsa. The fact that my muscles aren't completely shredded from moving at extreme speeds is a blessing in itself.

"...geh..."

With more effort, I roll off the bed ungracefully.

Thud thum thum

Simply landing on the floor is an awkward action to take. My entire body feels so sore, it's hard to even think. I take my time moving out of the room. The strength in my legs has been reduced to the equivalent of wobbling sticks.

"Huh?"

My clothes are gone, replaced by what looks to be a robe of some kind. It's open just enough so I can feel cold air brush against my chest hairs.

"Ewugh..."

Chest hairs aside, I continue with my decision to leave the room.

"One two one two one..."

I take extra care to watch my steps. Falling down in this scenario would no doubt be embarrassing, even if I'm the only person here. Almost like a rehab patient, I drag myself into a hallway while clinging to the doorway. Upon entering, the hallway itself looks like it stretches for eternity.

"Hgnk..."

The pain in my arms acts up gain. The burning sensation within my nerves is nauseating.

"I feel like vomiting."

I continue to trod forward with no idea where I'm going. After passing by several doors and paintings, I come to to the realization I've been walking in circles.

"Forgot this...arg...hallway...loops"

Walking around like this isn't accomplishing anything. My entire body wants to shut down. Now that I think about it, that floor doesn't look so bad. Maybe I should just rest. My desire for the floor overtakes me and I hunch over, slowly descending to the ground.

"Hah......ah."

I'm burning up with a fever. I can feel my whole body shake violently as my fingers start twitching uncontrollably.

"I just...want to.....sleep..."

My consciousness slowly slips away.

"......"

This feeling....I'm on a bed again?

"Huh?"

My eyes open to the sight of a now familiar ceiling and I'm struck with an uncanny sense a deja vu. Have I been in this place before?

"Oh, he has awakened, Sister."

"Indeed, he's awakened, Rem."

What?
