•Scooter POV•

"Now entering: Prince Scott Major of Rivendell!" Horns blared, flags waved, and Scott entered the ball, being held in his own kingdom. He plastered on a smile as he walked.

He hated it.

He hated all this attention. All the 'hooray!'.

He hated being a prince. Everything about it, other than the living conditions.

The only good thing about these balls was that Jimmy, prince of the Cod Empire, was there. And the only reason that was good was because Jimmy was hot.

But alas, the Queen declares homosexual activity illigal.

Some of my servants walk me over to my chair, since I don't dance.

"Begone! I don't want you all loitering around me!" I say, waving the servants away.

"Prince Scott?"

"Didn't I say to l-" I am stopped by shock. That isn't a servant, that's Prince Jimmy.

"Jimmy! I'm so sorry!"

"It's ok, really! Why aren't you dancing?"

"I don't dance."

"Why not?"

"No attractive girls." Of course not, I'm gay! But I can't say that, especially in front of my crush!

"True. None of the girls are attractive at all. But I still dance for fun!"

"The most fun at these balls is sitting here."

"Not by yourself! C'mon, onto the dance floor!" Jimmy got up, but Scott grabbed his hand, lulling him back down. Scott could've sworn he saw blush on Jimmy's cheeks, but it must have been lighting.

"It will be fun if you sit with me and talk?"

"Ok! That's fine by me." Jimmy sat fully down next to Scott.

"So..." Scott said awkwardly.

"All this and you don't know what to talk about?"

"Erm. What do you think about the new law?"

"About the death penalty?"

"Yup. What does Prince Jimmy think? I won't tell my mom."

"It's overkill. Homosexuals are people too, the same beings as us. There's no reason for the law."

"Agreed, but I  can't stand up to my mom about it. She'll think I'm one of them and murder me."

"But you're her son!"

"And? She doesn't care!"

"Wow. You need a better mom."

"I think so, but I'm not getting one any time soon."

~ Time Skip ~

The two talked until the end of the ball, and agreed to meet up in Rivendell once more at a later date. After a week, it was time for the meet up.

"Knock knock! It's me, Jimmy!"
