"Ali?" The shocked face turned around as I tearfully nodded. There was a moment of silence and hesitation before he threw his phone on the bed, accepting the fact I was awake and hugging me tightly. "I love you so much."
Gently he pressed his lips...
My eyes watered as I gripped Oscar's hand tightly that he could've had a bruise, me obeying the nurse while shutting my eyes hard. I dared myself to open my eyes once the whole baby was out of me, so I could see the small figure. Pain throbbed in my body as I pushed again, Oscar stroking my hand softly. "You're doing great, Ali. I can see his body now."
I let out another strong breath as I heard the crying and opened my eyes. The nurses quickly wrapped her in a white cloth as I rested my legs, stretching them on the bed as I sobbed into my hands in relief. Oscar hugged me tightly and gave me a quick kiss, the sun outside slowly rising. I was soon handed the baby after a few minutes, the baby still crying. I handed him to Oscar.
"Aw, it's alright," He whispered, tearing up as well. "Daddy's here, everything's going to fine, Liam. Everything's good." We decided to change his name: Liam. It sounded slightly better and calmer. He wriggled in his grip.
"He's so pink!" I blurted out without even thinking as the nurses took her away for a checkup while the doctor chuckled and took his gloves off. "Was everything successful at the end, doctor?" He nodded thoughtfully, washing his hands in the basin. "I can't wait to be discharged."
"It'll take a few days, then you can return home," He assured us. "In the mean time, all this will be reported back to Tom as you have suggested. Have you got all the baby furniture prepared for now? Car seats, diapers and beds? The hosiptal provides them if you haven't got enough time to get everything."
"Yes, we've got everything," Oscar said. He left the room without a word a few seconds later, one of the nurses coming in to clean up everything. We sat in silence as I let out a breath of relief, feeling all relaxed. "You were great. You did everything so perfectly, Ali. The delivery process was absolutely great. I don't think you actually did anything wrong at all."
"I wish we could get out of here." I threw my head back.
"You will a few days later." Oscar rubbed his hands together.
~~ (A few days later)
All the suitcases were packed.
Oscar went on and on about afraid of me being sick again after everyone visiting me in the hospital with gifts. Mum sent me a box of homemade biscuits while Dad sent me a toy steering wheel for babies. Oliver visited and got the baby a rather large racing suit and helmet, while Flo got Liam some clothes with cars and racing karts on them. Cisca went rather simple, she'd knitted him a scarf.
Nicole and Chris also came to the hospital to see the little boy. They'd gotten us presents for the both of us and Liam as well. Nicole had gotten him a football shirt (Barcelona) with his name on the back, me and Oscar a light up F1 plastic statue. Chris got Liam an orange cap and for me and Oscar some matching hoodies.
I wrapped Liam in a white blanket as I sat in the backseat, securing him into his baby carrier as Oscar buckled his seatbelt up. He had been reported as healthy after a few checkups, and surprisingly opened his eyes on the second night he was born. He blinked a few times when I leant over him, tucking him under the blanket.
"You feeling alright?" Oscar adjusted the rear view mirror to look at me and Will. "And the little human at the back?" I giggled at his joke, Liam closing his eyes again. "Seems like he's sleepy this few days."
"Just focus on getting us home," I rolled my eyes at him.

"He's got your nose, Osc," I squinted my eyes at Liam's face, in which he stared back at me with a weird expression on his face. "But he's got green eyes. Like mine and Lando's. But more like Lando's, light green. I've got emerald green. He inherited the best body part from me." Oscar stared straight into my eyes as I giggled, him kissing my nose.
"Liam's got my eyebrows and lips, no?" He peered at him as he yawned and twisted and turned, still staring at us weirdly. I took a picture of him. "When do you think he'll start speaking and laughing? I want to hear him laugh or talk for once."
"Quit it, Piastri," I rolled my eyes. We had arrived home and it was already the next day already. We had placed Liam in his crib already, of which was quite modern. It was in a shape of an oval. "He's so cute."
"I know, it's obvious," It was August, and still quite hot in Monaco. We had both just woken up from our daily sleeping and I was stood in front of the crib, staring over the rails while Oscar had his arms around my waist, his head on my shoulder. "I feel so weak right now. And I have a race next weekend. How are you going to keep safe without me?"
"I'm coming too, you idiotic bitch," I jokingly slapped him in the face. "Why can't you put on a shirt for once? It's not that hot."
"Why can't you put on something? You're only wearing a sports bra and some shorts that don't even reach your knees, love. I'm the one that should be asking you that question." Oscar stretched his neck to look at me as I pushed his head away. "Ow! That hurt."
"Don't fake it, idiot," I ruffled his hair as he yawned lazily. "My bump's already shrinking. I kind of miss all the twisting and turning and pushing you off the bed at night right now. I hate it." He scowled and pretended to be angry, releasing me. "Osc, please." I rolled my eyes sarcastically. "What's for breakfast?"
"I made it already, eggs and sausages for breakfast on the table. I also got warm milk for Liam on the table as well, enjoy it, little buddy," Oscar patted Liam's head gently as I smiled. "Come on Oscar, move out of the way! I need my breakfast."
"Make sure you've brushed your teeth already!" He shouted as I left the room, placing Liam into the high chair and securing him in. I placed the tip of the milk bottle into his mouth, him sipping in the milk slowly. "Aren't they supposed to drink breast milk after birth?"
"I'm think it's just milk," I mumbled. "Get the door, won't you?"
