I looked at the picture frame.

It was from 2025, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix exactly today one year today. Liam crawled happily around the apartment, as Oscar chuckled with amusement. I held Liam tightly in my arms while smiling for the picture, Oscar holding his trophy in one hand, his other arm wrapped gently in my arms. Lando stood next to me with Addie clinging onto his hand and Mum and Dad behind us.

Champion. Oscar was the champion of F1 in 2025, Lando in 2024. I felt a smile forming on my face as a pair of arms circled my waist. I didn't even need to turn around to know who it was. He buried his face into my neck and yawned gently against it.

I imagined myself back in 2025.

"Come on, Osc, how long do you need to take?"

I banged impatiently against the toilet door as Liam slept peacefully in the basket carrier carefully placed at the corner of the hotel room. I heard the toilet flush finally as I sighed in relief. We were already ordered to come down to the motorhomes in five minutes, as I checked my watch. One minute only went pass.

"Sorry, beautiful," Oscar came out while kissing me on the forehead, pulling his shoes on. He grasped the handle of the carrier without hesitation while linking his arm into mine. "Sorry about that. Let's get down to the paddock, should we?"

He was wearing a questionable outfit, with his black jeans and cream coloured hoodie with a cap on. I lifted his hood up. "You look like a gangster." He raised his eyebrows and laughed. "I really like how you got your hoodie era from Lando."

"An inspiration person for hoodies and outfits," He chuckled and wrapped his arm around my shoulders as we left the hotel, getting into the car. "Liam's so like you, he sleeps a lot."

"I don't, just focus on getting us there," I sighed as he pressed his foot on the brakes while he started the car. "It was a good idea to get him in your mini version of race suit."

"It was all I could do," He muttered while I sat in the back seat, securing the baby carrier to the car. "I think I'm going to stay with my family for the mean time, until you actually propose to me and I can hang out with your parents next year."

"Really?" Oscar rolled his eyes as he stared at us in the rear-view mirror. "We've been through this like ten times, baby. I'll do it soon, we just need time. We have a baby boy."

"Sure," I huffed and pretended to be mad.

"We're here," He parked the car as I saw Lando get out of the car next to us. He waved and grinned as Addie came out on the other side. I carried Liam out, leaving the baby carrier in the car. Oscar locked the car as we approached the couple. "Hey, you guys having a good time so far?"

"Let's see, my good mood's still not wiped out from memories here last year," Lando slipped his hand into Addie's as we all agreed. "Winning a World Championship's feeling doesn't ever go away. Hopefully you'll win one as well, that'll complete the collection. Papaya collection."

"I like the name," Oscar said as we walked down the paddock. The sky was getting darker and darker every second. "We should hurry to McLaren now. I'll hold Liam, you enjoy your time, love." He kissed me as I flushed.

"He's in a perfectly placed position as a father," Addie complained. "Lando still has that kid in him that won't leave. I expect that to be a good thing if we do have a child."

"If?" I tilted my head. "I think you mean 'when'. I've never seen my brother happier unless you count the day when he became a World Champion. He loves you to pieces."
