The Beginning

990 AD

"Mother" Ryker calls out to his mother, who is standing in the kitchen. Ryker walks closer to her to see what she is doing. "Yes, Ryker" She answers, while tasting her food. "I shall be going out now, mother" Ryker says as he moves to stand next to Qetsiyah.

"Okay, my son. But first try this." Qetsiyah says gesturing to the food. Ryker moves closer and brings the food up to his mouth to taste it. "Fantastic, as always, mother" Ryker says before placing a kiss on his mother's forehead.

"Goodbye mother. I shall return before nightfall. Please do tell the family that I will be back" Ryker says, while walking outside. "We shall be waiting for your return." Qetsiyah says to her eldest son.

Ryker grabs his sword and carries it with him while he travels. After he crosses a river, he comes across a village, full of people. In one spot there is a crowd of people cheering, like they are watching a battle. Ryker walks towards them and watches as a blonde man, with a smirks in victory as he wins the battle against another man who smiles as he knows he has been bested.

The crowd leaves soon after and Ryker approaches the man who won the battle. "You're quite good with that sword" Ryker says to the man. "Well, I do try" The man says smiling. "Ryker, Ryker Frost" Ryker says moving his hand out to the man. "Niklaus, Niklaus Mikaelson" The man introduces himself.

"And that is my dearest brother, Elijah. Who was easily bested by me." Niklaus says smiling while gesturing to the man he beat earlier. Elijah nods at me and walks over. "Oh, my dear Niklaus. I do asure you next time you shall be the one who is bested." Elijah says while smirking. "Is that so, dear brother?" Niklaus asks him while smiling. "I'd say you both would put up a fight but then again, I believe I could best the both of you" Ryker says glancing at both brothers.

"What do you say dear brother, join me in beating Ryker?" Niklaus asks Elijah, while looking at him. Ryker smirks as he looks at Elijah awaiting his answer. "Why, of course Niklaus. I would love too." Elijah says patting Niklaus on the back.

"Fantastic. Sister, why don't you watch as we beat this fool?" Niklaus says while calling out to a blonde woman walking by us. "And who might this fool be?" The woman asks me while looking at Ryker. "Ryker, Ryker Frost" Ryker says as he gently grabs the blondes hand and places a kiss on it.

"And who might you be?" Ryker asks the woman, while looking at her. "Rebekah, Rebekah Mikaelson" Rebekah says smiling. "Well if you could excuse me, I have to beat your brothers" Ryker says to her smirking and Rebekah laughs softly. Ryker then turns back to face Elijah and Niklaus.

"Shall we?" Ryker asks as he grabs his sword and twirls it in his hand. Elijah chuckles and Klaus smiles. The brothers draw their swords and charge at Ryker. Ryker ducks underneath them and points his sword at Niklaus back. Elijah turns around and slashes Rykers sword, making Ryker stop pointing the sword at Niklaus back.

Niklaus turns around and slashes at Ryker multiple times but Ryker blocks it. Elijah and Niklaus nod at each other and then charge at Ryker at the same time. Ryker Blocks Elijah's attack and kicks Niklaus in his chest making him stumble and drop his sword. Ryker drops himself onto the floor and kicks Elijah's leg making him fall. Ryker grabs Niklaus's and Elijah's swords quickly and gets back on his feet.

Ryker throws Elijah's sword to Rebekah "Keep this for me love." Ryker says when Rebekah catches the sword. Niklaus and Elijah are back on their feet now. "Well, seems like you two have found yourself in quite the predicament." Ryker says twirling Niklaus's and his sword around. They both look at me quite impressed.

"You're quite good with that sword" Niklaus says to Ryker, as he walks closer to him. "I do agree with Niklaus" Elijah says as he takes his sword back from Rebekah. "Well, I don't lie" Ryker says with a smirk as he gives Niklaus his sword back. "Would you like to have us for dinner?" Niklaus asks Ryker. "Yes, we would love for you to join us please." Rebekah says while looking at Ryker.

"I would be honored to, but unfortunately I told my mother that I would be home for dinner." Ryker says seeing that it is almost night. "So perhaps another time?" Elijah asks Ryker. "Of course, but I shall see you soon" Ryker says as grabs his sword and starts heading back homek. "Until we meet again" Ryker calls out to them. Niklaus, Elijah and Rebekah watch as he disappears into the night.

Ryker crosses the river and walks back to his family. Once he arrives at the house, he is greated by the smell of his mother's cooking. "Ryker, you're back. Join us please" Qetsiyah says once she sees Ryker enter the house.

"Where did you go Ryker?" Carlos asks Ryker as soon as he sits down. "Across the river, did you all know that there is a village there?" Ryker asks them as he goes to take a bite of the food. They all shake their heads in a way of saying no. "Really, did you meet any people?" Aurelia asks while listening with curiosity. "Indeed I did. Met a family infact." Ryker says while looking at his family, who stares at him interested.

"What are their names?" Felix says finally joining the conversation.
"I only met a few of them. Rebekah, Elijah and Niklaus Mikaelson" Ryker says while smirking. "Are they nice?" Rhea asks while getting up from the table. "Yes, of course dear sister, maybe Niklaus could be your suitor" Ryker says smiling while the rest of the family except Rhea start laughing.

Rhea throws a cloth onto Rykers face, "Oh, shut it Alexander. You can have Rebekah then" Rhea says as she starts laughing as well. "Hey, that's not fair middle names are off limits" Ryker says while fake pouting. "All's fair in love and war brother" Rhea says while smiling.
