We're still young
We don't know where we're going
But we know where we belong
Harry styles - sweet creature

Taylor sat over the phone, running her finger over the analog dial over and over, contemplating calling the actress.

She could feel her insecurities bubbling up in her chest at the thought of the woman. She might not answer, the number might not even be real. Taylor quickly caught herself. That was ridiculous, if Eva hadn't wanted to see her she could've left without saying anything, there was no need to leave a fake number.

The singer held her breath and entered the number, immediately glad that it connected. She waited impatiently, listening to each ring as they came and went.

She tapped on her thigh in time with the ringing, hoping that she would hear the voice of the brunette on the other side of the line.

Just as she was about to give up,  the ringing stopped.
"Hello? Who's this?" Her voice sounded like music in Taylor's ears. She pulled the phone away and silently jumped up and down, taking a moment to breathe deeply before replying.

"Hey, it's Taylor. You left your number on that note for me." Taylor schooled herself, making a conscious effort to appear as nonchalant as possible.

"Oh, hi. Yeah I'm sorry I left, I kind of had a lot to think about. Then there was work of course too." Eva apologised, feeling similarly to the blonde.

"No no worries, I understand. It was pretty intense last night, I don't know what came over me? I should've held back a little more. But for what it's worth, I absolutely loved spending time with you, and if you enjoyed it too, I'd like to spend more time with you soon." Once again Taylor could feel herself rambling, but was in no position to correct herself, word vomiting into the phone.

Eva laughed, more of a giggle really. "It's definitely a lot for me to be thinking about. ButI have... been thinking, and I've come to the conclusion that, I would really like to see you again, maybe in a more... casual setting. You've really left an impression on me." Eva could feel herself falling hard for the mysterious blonde.

"I would absolutely love that, and again, I'm sorry for how quickly things moved yesterday, I know that isn't really your style."

Eva shook her head, and then realised that Taylor couldn't see her. "Like I said, you weren't the only desperate one. Let's just say no wine this time. How about we meet for coffee? I know this amazing place of 5th Avenue." Eva made the offer in an attempt to balance out the playing field, since last time Taylor had invited her out.

Taylor agreed without a second thought. "That sounds amazing, I'm absolutely there. How about 2pm?"

Eva confirmed the time, giddy with excitement. This felt like the first date she had ever been on.

"I'll see you tomorrow then. I can't wait." Taylor spoke softly, the last sentence drifting off so quietly that Eva barely heard her.

"See you." Eva returned. Neither of them wanted to hang up first, and so there was a short silence, before the brunette finally hung up the phone.

Taylor headed over to the kitchen, making herself a coffee. She checked the clock on her wall, aware that soon Henry and Tree would be arriving for a briefing before they headed to a joint team meeting.

She padded over to the coffee machine, watching as the liquid dropped slowly into the jug, and then pouring it out carefully into her mug. The blonde then reached for the creamer in the fridge and went to add some into her drink, but stopped, catching herself.  Taylor knew she would exceed her calorie limit for the day if she added the sweetened cream in. And so she drank the black coffee, cringing at it's bitterness.
