Elise's POV:
I can't believe it. How did he figure it out. It was our first day on being kinda friends and he finds out almost immediately. Of course I have to deny. It's a friend and family rule.
Deny.
Deny.
Deny. That day I drove back to my house. Once I got out of the car I saw my dad with a pack of cigarettes outside in the backyard. When he saw me he called me over. "Want one?" He asks while gesturing to the pack. I pull one out and use the lighter. "I need a favor." He asks.
I breathe in through my nose and exhale the smoke out. "Yeah?" "I need you to go out again hon." I stop. "Dad-." He cuts me off. "We need this. Think of your rotting family. Think a Gabby." I paused as he used her against me. "Fine."I go back inside to change. I put on clothes that are less colorful. A black and white flannel, black skirt, and put my blonde hair into a messy bun. I also quickly grab my fake ID my dad gave me in case for shit like this. "I'm headin out." I yelled to Isaac amd everyone else. "Where to?" He asks. "Dad needs me to go out again." I could almost hear his sigh from across the house. "Be back before 10!" I promise I will be before setting off.
I go down to one of the most popular bars. I walk in and they ask for my ID. "Whens your birthday ma'am?" The tall guy asks me. "February 23rd 2001." He allows me in.
Too easy.I quickly observe. The guy in the stools has a gucci watch and belt. Hell no. Another woman has diamond earrings the size of her head. Fake. Then I see a boy maybe 23. He has a cross necklace and earring. He also has more chains around his neck and wrists. Perfect.
I walk over to him and pull out the chair. "This seat taken?" He takes one look at me and shakes his head. "No not at all." I fake smile while sitting down. I hate this part of my job because I'm underage.
"Oh my gosh your bracelets are so hot." He smiles. "You want them?" My eyes widen in fake shock. "Really?" He nods while taking 3 off and handing them to me. I smile and thank him. "So you uh want my number." I nod eagerly knowing I would be blocking him before he could text me. After that I order a martini. Of course he says he can pay for it.
After a little while I get a text from Isaac.
I: Hey it's 9:50
I text him quickly so this guy doesn't see.
Me: dw be home soon!
I put my phone away look up. "I'm so sorry but I just have to go, my sister got engaged and we have to plan the wedding." He smiles. "No problem sweetheart. I'll text you later." I nod before heading out. That's when the worst happened. I saw Josh entering the bar. "Dad we gotta g-." And then he saw me. His eyes widened and he came forward. "What the hell are you doing here." "Nothing! Now let me go." Instead he holds on tighter. "Do you come here a lot." I try to get out of his grip. "I-." He looks at me. Like dead in the eyes. "Elise." "No." I finally manage to get out of his grip and reach and walk out of the bar. I walk home.
When I get there my dads waiting again. "Your late." He says. "I know but...." And then I pull out the 3 silver bracelets and his mad face goes away. "Aw hon I'm so proud of you." He gives me a hug and I smile. Then he takes the bracelets and turns around admiring them. My smirk slowly fades away as I realize he only cares about the money. I also realize that I'm extremely tired. "Goodnight dad." I say. No response. Man you just gotta love my family.
