How he got his fortune: Y/N got his fortune from his mother, who was one of the original Eight Dragons of London, who had unfortunately perished with her husband around the same time Liza lost her parents.

Backstory: Y/N is one of the Eight Dragons of London, but he isn't one of the original eight. That would be his mother, who had died of an unknown disease. His father was driven mad at the loss of his wife and had unfortunately killed himself in the dead of night, by drowning himself in the Thames, leaving Y/N alone. The closest Y/N had to family after this incident was the Wight's, but due to unfortunate circumstances, Mr. and Mrs. Wight had passed away, leaving their fortune to their daughter, Liza. The remaining dragons had to figure out who would be the best parental figures for the two, but two put themselves forward. For Liza, Mustafa Bullhold became the closest thing as a father he could be for her, despite being in a different part of London. For Y/N, Pipper Lowendina became his mother of sorts, despite the fact she's running for Mayor at the time. Y/N first hears of the "Layton Detective Agency" when Katrielle, Ernest and Sherl are working on the case of the Riverside Murder at Pipper's office as the Parliament building. He later sees them again at the Saveloy theatre, despite him not liking romance type films. He later sees them again at Madam Doublee's mansion as he looks for Rex, Madam Doublee's pet iguana. He helps Liza with all of her tricks to try and gain friends, while unknowingly gaining feelings for the young woman, and vice versa, ultimately asking her out when Kat and Co. leaves. He helps Grant Sloanes in finding out how he was robbed 1 million pounds in cash, being the only one able to crack the way into the vault itself. Y/N, not wanting to rest on his fortune, has a job at the London Times, helping Taboras Lloyd with the Ratman articles and disappearance. On the Thametanic, Y/N finds out how the statue disappeared before Katrielle did and confronted the captain, about it. After learning why this happened, he had told the captain that he would do his best to get the Midas Touch back in working condition, even if it meant giving up his fortune, on one condition. That he and the crew came clean, but they were unable to answer as Kat had already figured the culprit out and explained it all to everyone. On Godwin's Day, Y/N is having his own dilemma, finding the right ring to give to Liza for his proposal, but all the jewellers are closed, so while Kat and Co. are looking for an anniversary present for the Hastings, Y/N travels with them looking for the only open jewellers on Godwin's Day. A few weeks later, Y/N has his own case that needs solving, the ring he had managed to get has gone missing. So he calls on Kat and Co. with the help of Inspector Hastings to find where it's gone. When Clover Pryce is murdered, Y/N was the one who made the discovery of her death and tried to resuscitate her, only to no avail. He had later checked the CCTV and found that Kat was the last person to enter the store, shocking him at the fact Kat would do something like this. Shaken, he calls Scotland Yard and waits outside for them. When Lord Adamas invited him, the remaining dragons and Kat to the Richmond Estate, he goes into the same room as Liza and Mustafa Bullhold. When they are unable to complete the puzzle, they go into the tunnel to find the very mine where the diamonds that started the Dragon's legacy's off. When they are all called back, before Kat is able to reveal the culprit, Lord Adamas reveals one of the secrets that he said he would reveal if the dragons didn't sign the contract at the beginning, and it was Y/N's. About his and Liza's relationship and them getting ready to get married, but not before Liza asks Mr. Bullhold to walk her down the aisle, knowing that it's what her parents would want. Kat and Co. have one final mystery, where's Y/N? He never showed up at the wedding and the only evidence there was a note demanding 1 million pounds in cash delivered to a random address. Being kidnapped on your wedding day, talk about an exciting day!
