Seven months. It had been seven months since the boys had disappeared and Saffron hadn't even moved on a bit. She usually just sat in Liam's trashed flat almost every day and cried. Saffron knew that she shouldn't be; a girl like her should be doing her best to comfort the others, instead of finding a way to keep herself tame. She knew that the girls had noticed. And that they had tried to keep her mind occupied. They were all hurt from the disappearance.
She was sitting in Liam's flat again that Monday morning. She hadn't gotten anyone to clean it up and organise the place simply because she wanted to keep everything the way it was for it to be like a wake up call to her. To tell her that Liam was gone. For seven months, to be precise.
A call on her cellphone got Saffron to snap out of her daze as she fumbled around her pockets to find the source of the noise. Once she pulled out her pink cellphone, she looked at the caller ID before answering the call.
"Is something wrong?" asked Saffron.
"No, it's just that Flynn is coming back from Ireland and well, I can't really pick her up from the airport," said the voice of Eleanor's through the phone. Saffron sighed; she really wanted to be alone but with Eleanor's state, she knew that she couldn't get herself out of it.
"And why'd you call me?"
"Because you're the only person I know who'd be awake at five in the morning," stated Eleanor and Saffron sighed again. She hadn't slept properly for the past seven months and the girls knew that too.
"Alright, I'll be there in a few."
"Pez?"
Perrie turned around to see Jade in her pyjamas, giving Perrie a confused look.
"Hey, Jade," said Perrie as she took a sip from her cup of tea.
"What the hell are you doing?" asked Jade, scraching the back of her head and letting out a yawn.
"Drinking tea."
"At five thirty in the morning?"
"I couldn't sleep," muttered Perrie. Her tea had now become the most interesting thing in the world.
"Neither," sighed Jade as she sat down on one of the sofas in the living room.
"It's been seven months already," stated Perrie after a long silence. Jade sighed again.
"They're probably dead for all we know," said Jade in a shaky voice and Perrie turned to Jade to see that the girl was crying.
"Hey, Jadey, don't cry," she said, putting her tea down before sitting next to Jade and rubbing her back in comfort.
"I can't help it, Pez. Harry's probably dead and he didn't know that I love him," cried Jade and Perrie couldn't say anything. Perrie knew that Zayn had loved her and that he knew that she loved him back. But in Jade's case, she and Harry didn't know about their feelings towards each other.
"Do you want some tea?" asked Perrie once Jade's crying had slowed down. Perrie's cup of tea was now cold and it probably wouldn't be nice to drink it anymore.
"Sure," shrugged Jade. Perrie grabbed her cup of cold tea and just before she walked into the kitchen, she turned to Jade.
"There's still hope," she said and Jade nodded slowly before Perrie went back into the kitchen to make the two some tea.
