A quiet library

Hermione's head was pulled from her book when she felt a light hand on her shoulder, looking up she smiled at Ginny, one of her closer friends, aside from the other two of the "Golden Trio".
"You did not actually miss a meal to read a book.
Oh, never-mind. That was a silly question, and also the reason I brought you a sandwich. You really need to remember to eat at least once a day. I think the house elves are gonna catch on one of these days!" Ginny says laughing as she plops down next to Hermione and pulls out a sandwich just as she promised.

Hermione smiles. " After McGonagall's newest assignment, I had to come straight here. I was too excited to learn more about transfiguration spells and the history behind them. She gave us the opportunity to check out multiple books on the topic I had to get here first! Have you seen this one yet? It's the ability to change into an animal without the use of your wand or a verbal spell. It's amazing. I think McGonagall is able to use this one. It takes months, if not years, to harness this ability."

"Woah, girl. Take a breath. This paper isn't due for another week. " Ginny laughs at her friends enthusiasm over homework and her thirst for knowledge.
Hermione takes a bite of her sandwich. "Have you given some thought to what spell you'll write about?" Hermione inquires.
Ginny's loose smile is a dead giveaway as she says, " I haven't even looked for any of the books yet, Mione. I just got to the library. Although the History of the Aguamenti spell has always intrigued me..." Ginny places a contemplative finger on her chin as she says,"You know, the Water making spell. A charm that summons clear, and pure water out of the casters wand. It's interesting that the ratio and strength of the blast are completely based on the caster's ability. And completely useful, might I add. " She finishes laughing lightly.
Harry and Ron finally make their way from the Great Hall and into the library, spotting Hermione and Ginny as they walk over. Ron with his puppy dog eyes. "Hey, Mione. You know the, uh, paper, Professor gave us before class ended."
He scratches the back of his neck and looks away as Hermione says, " No, Ron. I'm not writing your paper, I don't have the time to write yours and mine. And you can't copy off my paper as we have to choose different topics. Professor McGonagall will know you copied. As I have already decided on a quite difficult spell."
Both girls gather their belongings and head back to their dorm for the night.
After watching the girls' retreating forms. Ron looks to Harry for help. "Ron, you know she's right. Maybe you can ask her for tips on how to write it, instead of copying her paper this time." Harry stands, and Ron follows him whining about having to read. As they go to check the books out. And follow the girls shortly back to the Gryffindor Dormitories.

****yes I realize this one is shorter. But I kept it short and sweet to get a little bit of character development and some plot going.
