➻ lydiai bop my head to a blink 182 song and sang to myself without even noticing. a old woman that sat next to me looked at me strangely and muttered something under her breath. giving her a sheepish smile i apologize quickly and resume back to my music listening to it quietly.
i take look out at my window and stare blankly at the white clouds that surrounded the plane. letting out a small yawn i began to feel my eyes begin to close. before i knew it i was asleep because the next thing i know i felt someone rapidly tap my shoulder. opening my eyes i see the old woman motioning me to get up.
"oh ahjumma, we're here already?"
the old woman nodded her head and motion me to get up and leave. quickly thanking her, i gather my belongings and made my way out.
----------
the airport was insanely crowded, filled with couples reuniting, kids running up to their parents, etc. i was looking around trying to spot my uncle. after about 15 minutes of searching and being pushed by people i finally found him.
"keith! i'm over here! " i shout loudly trying to get his attention while also earning glares from a group of people that walked by me.
"aigoo! my niece had really grown up!"
"uncle keith i miss you soooo much!" i instantly ran up to him giving him a huge hug.
"i miss you too sweetie. how are you?"
"never better!" i smiled for the first time in a long time.
"that's fantastic! let's get going before we get stuck in traffic." keith quickly gather my suitcases and sauntered off with me trailing behind.
---------
as soon as we arrived at keith's house he showed me to my room and around his house. he went over house rules that i completely laughed off and ignored cause well he's keith and no one, especially me can actually take him seriously. i made my way back to my room to unpack and once i was done i went back to the living room and plopped myself on the nearest couch.
"are you excited to be here in korea?" keith finally speaking english to me since my arrival. he walked out of the kitchen with a coffee mug in his hand and sat down in the couch across from me.
"i guess.."
"you guess?"
"i mean i'm glad that i'm here to get away from everything back at home because of you know who but you can't blame me for missing la a bit" keith nodded his head understanding my situation. "yeah i miss la too"
"you didn't tell.." i started to say.
"no! no! of course not sweetie. i would never i know how you feel about you know"
i sighed in relief and thanked him and god. never had i felt so free in a long time after everything that had happened to me. finally i can start fresh and just forget all of my problems.
"so what school did you enroll me to?" i asked keith breaking the silence between us.
"seoul of arts academy" he reply nonchalantly
i literally felt like my heart stopped as i gaped at him . "please tell me you're not fucking with me keith because if you are i swear to god you'll never see daylight again!"
"nope. i'm serious lydia" he looked at me amused and took a sip of his coffee he brewed earlier.
"shut up! no way! that school is so hard to get in to! only the most talented can get into it! how?"
