"it's weird that your girlfriend isn't spamming you with messages during lunchtime"

Hanbyeol utter as she sip on her caramel macchiato. Sunghoon glance at his phone and scoff. "we broke up, yesterday" he answered, Hanbyeol and Sunoo aren't surprised at all with the news.

"why?she asked you to marry her?" Sunoo questioned before shoving a spoonful of his mac and cheese in his mouth. Sunghoon shake his head before leaning his back against his seat.

"he asked me why I wasn't talkative last night"

"and I said it's because it's my parents death anniversary"

"and she replied, saying that"

"I shouldn't be bothered by it as it has been 18 years"

"so i said"

"let's break up, I don't need you in my life anyway"

he explained making the two nod. "that's..the shittiest person you ever dated" Hanbyeol said as she smirk, shaking her head. "agreed, at least the past ones are just obsess with getting married" Sunoo continue.

"but, as someone who date to fill the void in you.."

"did they ever did it? honestly"

Hanbyeol questioned making the guy look up to her and wonder about the girls word. "no, none of them manage to" He answered after a short silence.

"but maybe it isn't filled because I am the one who date for fun too"

"so it doesn't impact my inner void"

"They surely help with wasting my free times"

He continue making the other two scoff and smile. "then try to get serious for once, maybe it'll feel better" Hanbyeol adviced. "trust me, I've tried, they're just not the right one" Sunghoon reply making her nod.

"by the way"

"isn't Haemin is going to receive the bike today? they said they'll deliver it today don't they?"

Sunoo interrupts making Hanbyeol turn to him before thinking about it. "if im not mistaken, yeah. and he is probably home too today, since he's going for the school trip tomorrow" She reply.

"you bought a bike?" Sunghoon questioned making her nod, "I planned it to be a surprise but your lie about the car just ruined it" Hanbyeol say as she roll her eyes making the guy chuckle. "I've apologise for it" He utter.

speaking of the devil, a call pop up on the girl screen. precisely, a video call from her younger brother making her smile before picking it up.

"whyy?" she say as soon as she pick it up.

"noona..did you bought something?"

"maybe?why?you don't want it?"

"no,No, it's not that.. but why?"

"because it's your birthday tomorrow and that's all I could think off, do you like it?"

"like?I love it! but i searched it up and it cost—"

"don't mind that, mine cost a lot more.. remember what Sunghoon said? keep that in mind, don't worry about me"

"noona, thank you, like really"

"your welcome, if I came back, we'll ride around the town together okay?"

"Sure ! then you should come back quick"

"8th October, I promise"

the older promised making the younger nod, they talked a little more before ended the call. "I would die to get a sister like you, being an only child is so boring" Sunoo utter s he finished his bowl of mac and cheese.

Hanbyeol chuckle and shake her head, "we've a wide age gap, he's half our age.. I don't want him to be distant with me just because of the gap" Hanbyeol reply.

"can I stay for the night?"

Sunghoon ask as he follow the girl into her house after unlocking the main door. She turn around with a smile and give the guy a few nod making him smile too.

"I'm going to freshen up real quick" Hanbyeol say making the guy nod again as he watch the girl walk to the upstairs to her room.

He also make his way to the guest room on the first floor to find some clothes to change into. they both left a few of pair of clothes in each other house in case they're staying over. He decide to take a warm bath to loosen his tense muscle over all his body due to all of the stress he was on earlier.

Hanbyeol terrace is a place where Sunghoon and Sunoo will go to when they are stressed with the overload work or they simply just bored. They stop by often that she prepared each of them a room as she have 4 rooms including hers.

Sunghoon put on a black shirt and a sweat pants before making his way out of his room and see Hanbyeol roaming around her kitchen making him walk upon the place too.

"what are you doing?" Sunghoon question making the girl turn to him in surprise, "I want to bake something, these ingredients will expired in a few months" she reply as she continue to carry out the ingredients from her kitchen cabinet.

Sunghoon walk closer to her and run his eyes to all of the available ingredients, thinking of something they could make with them. "double chocolate cupcakes?" Sunghoon suggested making Hanbyeol turn to him.

"come on, stop suggesting only your favourites" she roll her eyes playfully making the guy chuckle. "you have a lot of chocolates, that's why" he protest making the girl giggles before nodding.

"fine, since it's your day" Hanbyeol said making him snickered before lean his lower body against her kitchen counter. "see? you love me either way" he teased making the girl scoff, rolling her eyes while shaking her head. "we both know we can't be find anyone better than ourselves" Sunghoon utter making her scoff again.

"of course, you're the worse decision that I can't regret. if i could, i would resell you on 5 bucks" Hanbyeol reply as she smirk. "Byeol seriously?I worth more than that" He complaint making her chuckle, "maybe,but not more than 10" The girl reply making him scoff.

the whole baking process is fun, the fact that they almost have a flour fight can be put aside. Hanbyeol kitchen is full of their laughter, which what she love.  At least she manage to bring back the playfulness out of the upset guy after everything that he went through.

"the fact that you bake my favourite dessert proved that you love me" Sunghoon snickered, "yeah, maybe I do kiddo" Hanbyeol reply as she put the cupcakes into the oven and walk to the sink to wash the piling dirty dishes.

"let me do that, go up and change" Sunghoon say as he push her aside softly, she just nod before proceed to wipe her wet hands on Sunghoon's shirt before running away making the guy groan.

"Oh Hanbyeol !" he shouted in distress. "it just water Park Sunghoon" She reply making him sigh.

A thing that they both don't know are, if the word 'love' bringing the meaning of friendly love or a relationship love, They do feel like they lean to each other more than friends but they put it aside as they are 'best friends'.  What they don't realize is that, best friends could fall over too.
