Me Against the World.

Chapter 2

Once we got to the house, he didn't look worried. He just had a content half smile. He went all the way up my door.

"Thank you! i said walking away.

"Anytime." He said with a huge smile.

I went inside the house, and my uncle Jon was waiting in his chair looking directly at me. My heart was beating so fast, many thought flooded through my mind, and none of them about my impending punishment.

" who was that?

"It was Cody Bradshaw, he is in my history class"

He just looked at me. He didn't say anything. Until finally he said:

"Hayley, I really don't want you to see him anymore. You can get hurt.."

"What?! why?!" I yelled.

" you won't understand."

He said while getting up and rubbing his head.

I went up to my room and felt like crying. This wasn't fair. He can't do this. This is my first friend i had in years and I could feel something between us. This isn't fair! I shut my door and went to my window and looked out at the ocean, the waves are getting bigger and bigger. And I could hear the sound of the waves hitting the shore. I grasp my owl necklace and closed my eyes and tired to calm down.

No one bothered to come and talk to me. Cody had no way. He didn't have my number. "I should of have gave him my number" I mumbled to myself. My aunt and uncle knew they couldn't say anything to me. They would only make it worse. And to be honest I didn't want to be around anyone.

School was closed because of repairs. I wouldn't help but? smile every time I thought about it. So I was stuck at home avoiding everything and everyone. Until one day I decided to go to the store because I NEEDED supplies, and needed to get out of the house.

I got a few things, shampoo and body wash, deodorant, etc...I was walking in the store when a girl walked backwards looking at the sign above saying costumer service. She bumped into me. She had to double look at me. She tucked some lose hair by her face behind her ear and she pushed her glasses closer to her face.

"Your Hayley Johnson." She said very calmly. Then she smiled.
