Ban's eyes widened in shock at the Meliodas's words, and I only tilted my head."Oh, this's King? I was expecting some wealthy looking old man with shiny clothes, but a kid in a hoodie that can fly is nice too." I said with a light shrugged.
"You don't remember him, Angel? I thought that out of everyone, besides Ban, King would be one of the first you'd remember." Meliodas said as he looked up at me.
"My apologies, but I don't remember seeing him as much as Ban at all." I said, looking at the Dragon sin and then back at the flying kid.
"Never mind all that! Tell me how's that tiny creep's supposed to be King?" Ban yelled at Meliodas, pointing at the flying child.
"Well, maybe he lost a little weight?" Meliodas suggested.
"A little weight?! This ain't even the main issue here!" Ban exclaimed.
"So he used to be bigger before?" I asked. Ban and Meliodas looked at the me, and nodded simultaneously with nonchalant expressions...
"King, we came to look for you, and now you're here. This is incredible, I'm so happy to see you again!" Diane winked at the flying child, but he didn't seem to react. After one final glance at us, King flew away.
"How odd." I whispered.
'He's certainly not a talker.' Zeldris muttered.
Ban just stared at the leaving child before he sighed and grabbed me by the hand.
"Come on, mama! Lets go find those brats!" He grinned, guiding me towards a rundown house he believed the children were hiding in.
"Do you perhaps want to take them someplace else? No matter how you look at it, this isn't the ideal place for children to be." I muttered, still letting Ban drag me along through the house.
"Whatever you want to do, mama!" Ban said, rubbing the back of his neck with his opposite hand.
"Oh? Then how about you make a meal for the kids, hm?" I suggested, which caused Ban to look back at me with a frown.
Ban groaned in slight disapproval, which I had frowned at. I'm pretty sure he knows why I had suggested it, but I guess I have to shed more light on the motive.
I hovered in front of Ban, effectively stopping him from roaming through the house, and I gave him a disapproving look, which caused the Greed Sin to sigh."Why must you torture me so? I haven't done anything bad, have I?" Ban said with a pained groan.
"Well, first off, you did make us both leave our post. Even now we're supposed to be back at the tavern with the rest."
"Your point?"
I sighed, "Look, Ban, if we help these kids they might help us too! They might know about the whereabouts of Necropolis! You still don't believe that the child we saw was King, right?"
