Where She Went

Mia's P.O.V

Here I was. Ready to leave and join the rest of my family when I heard music start to play as I filled the   halls of the hospital I was in.

It drew me inside and to my room where I found Adam. I walked in as he took the headphone off my head.

All I remember past that is, I got into Juliard. I forgot about that, I was so worried about getting in and what I would do before the accident happened. After it, I was worried about everyone else and trying to figure out what I wanted to do.

Then my eyes opened and I saw Adam look at me and say my name. Then he ran out, I was flooded with nurses and doctors. They got the tube out of my throat and got me settled in my bed and said some people wanted to see me.

Am I ready for this? To face the truth that my family is gone? That my mom, dad, and Teddy are gone. That I will never see them again.

Adam's P.O.V

I was singing a song to Mia on my guitar when I heard her breathe deeply. I looked over and her eyes were open looking around. I got up so quickly and looked at her in disbelief.

I ran out the room and grabbed doctors as tears started to flood my eyes.

"She's awake. Mia woke up!"

They grabbed all of their things and rushed into her room. The first thing I thought of was to let everyone know.

When I got down to the waiting room everyone looked at me as I had tears running down my eyes.

"She's awake."

It looked like everyone finally got a chance to breathe. I looked over at her grandparents as her grandma fell into her grandpas arms sobbing loudly with a half smile on her face.

I saw Kim had her mouth open, she looked like she was in shock.

Willow leaned against the wall and put her hands on her face and silently cried.

A doctor walked into the waiting room and we all looked up at him.

"I'm sure you all know now that Mia is awake. Now this is good news but this isn't over. We need to keep her in the ICU overnight to monitor her but hopefully in the morning she will be transferred to a regular room. She is aware the rest of her family has passed. I want you all to know this is not going to be easy for you or her. She is going to need all the support she can get. Right now we are getting her settled, someone will come down and let you know she is ready for visitors."

The doctor left the waiting room and we all sat in our seats in didn't say a word. No one spoke up until her grandma asked me a question.

"Did she looked scared when she woke up?"

I looked at her and shook my head no.

"I wouldn't say she was scared, she looked nervous and confused."

That answer seemed to satisfy her. We waited in the waiting from for about an hour until someone came down to get us. They said only two at a time so we all agreed her grandparents should be the first ones that get to see her.

The walked out the room and it was back to silence. Everyone was waiting for their turn to say hi.
