"They're coming!" I shout into my coms as I block the numerous red blasts hurtling toward me at a lightning-fast speed. As I dash across the blazing red desert, the three sun's rays beat down on my body. Sweat drizzles down my face as I narrowly escape another rocket launcher blast.

"Cal, could you hack into the systems and locate the subject?" Cere's voice statically echoes from my coms. The connection on this planet is terrible, and someone must be jamming the signal.

"Yeah, I got him," I say, trying to catch my breath as I sprint for miles. I look down at the bundle in my arms, his bright brown eyes gazing into mine. A gentle smile grows on my face as I can't help but think it's cute, no matter how much effort it took to get him.

"However, I wasn't ready for a few friends to make a surprise appearance."

"Inquisitors?" Merrin questions as if she is pretending to be oblivious to the situation.

"Inquisitors." I glumly replied as the imps were gaining on us. I turned and scanned the area to see how close they were. I spotted a vast gray machine standing on two legs in the distance, shooting red blasts at me. I knew I could take them any time, but I had to focus on the present. I knew we only had a little time before the imps would catch us.

"Time to go, little buddy," I gently said as I focused on the energy around me and focused it on my legs. I was then propelled forward as if on a speeder, rapidly sprinting toward the Mantis. Since Cere agreed to be my Master, I have learned to hone in my energy and increase my force endurance. Force dash is just one of the many things she taught me.

"Cal, there is an imperial vessel making its way towards the planet we have to go!" she said

Those words made my stomach drop as I couldn't help but dread the person on that vessel. We have to get out of here.

"Cere take off; will meet you there."

"Cal, you won't make it; there are too many."

"Trust me, go!" I shout into the coms, hoping they realize the necessity of getting out of here as soon as possible.

"Cal, if you get killed, I will bring you back from the dead and kill you again myself." Merrin states through the coms

I chuckled. "I wouldn't expect anything less."

"Good luck, Jedi," she replied as the coms dimmed and the connection was cut off. I was almost there, at least half a mile to the ship. I looked as the Mantis ascended into the sky, slowly giving me enough time to escape. The red blasts became more distant as we rapidly made our approach.

"Alright, little guy, you ready for some flight lessons?" I ask as I look down into his dark brown eyes. Sitting in the hot, rough sand below, I close my eyes and sink into the force. Waiting for the right time.

"We got this scum now! One of the stormtroopers says

"What's he doing?"

"He's just sitting there."

"Do Jedi even sit? This is the first time I've seen one do that."

I hear in the distance as I allow the all-encompassing warmth and energy to surround me. It gently whispers to me.

"now!"

I jolt awake as a bright green blade bursts from the cylinder. I cut down three stormtroopers and left the other two. I sprint across the desert as the force cries loudly to jump. I leap into the air, letting the force guide my every movement as a grip on the ship's edge as it ascends into the bright blue sky. I pull myself up as I cling onto the little guy in my arms, wrapped in a colorful blue blanket that the only thing you can see is his chubby, sun-kissed face. As I make my way into the ship. The child's tiny cries echo throughout the steel walls of the ship.
