oda woke up next to ango on the couch. he yawned and stretched out his arms, careful to not accidentally hitting ango. he checked his phone and it read, '21:42PM'. damn, they've been knocked out for quite a while. the last time he remembers checking the time, it was around 17:55PM. he simply and silently sat up right, and watched lovingly as ango just snored softly, with part of his face buried in the pillow.
once it hit 21:50PM, he decided to get up and have a quick smoke. he stood up, off of the couch, careful not to wake up ango, and opened the sliding door to the side, so he could get through to the balcony. he prayed that sliding the door open wouldn't be loud enough to wake up ango, as he put on his slippers and went out onto the balcony. the apartment balcony wasn't much, it just had a metal railing and metal floor. he and ango put two lounge chairs and a small glass table with an ashtray on the balcony, so that when they were both home, they could watch the stars and smoke together. they lived on the 15th floor of the apartment building, so they also had a pretty nice view over yokohama too.
while still in his thoughts, he picked up the cigarette pack and took the last cigarette out. he then went to grab his lighter from his pocket, but remembered that he took off his coat, which had his lighter in the left pocket. he then heard footsteps behind him, presumably from a sleepy ango, then felt a pair of arms wrap around his waist and quick kisses to the edge of his jaw. oda reveled in the affection and softness of a just woken up ango. he always adored the messiness of his hair since it was so often that ango would gel his hair back so that most of it was out of the way.
"morning sleepy-head." oda spoke endearingly.
ango just stood there silently, still sticky with drowsiness.
"did i wake you up?" asked oda.
"no. well not necessarily, anyways. i just heard the door slide open." ango answered truthfully, his grogginess evident in his voice.
oda felt a little bad for waking ango up. he really needed to sleep, so he had a pang of guilt rush over him, but it instantly washed away once he noticed how ango leaned into him and his soft breathing. it made him have a warm, fuzzy feeling in his chest knowing that ango was comfortable enough to be so vulnerable around him. he liked it when he had that warm, fuzzy feeling.
"wanna smoke with me?" oda asked even though he already knew the answer.
ango just smiled warmly at oda. he asked every time they were out here like this, even though he already knew the answer to his own question. he unwrapped his arms around oda, and stood next to him by the railing.
oda was absolutely beautiful to ango. he loved how messy and rugged he was, but he also loved his simplicity. oda was a logical person, and trusted his instincts whenever something didn't feel quite right. but he was also kinda emotional. at least with ango, he was sometimes emotional. sometimes. he and oda would just talk about how they felt sometimes, and ango could always trust that oda would be raw with emotion, though there may not be much expression, and he loved it. he felt special knowing that oda would let ango see him, even in his most fragile and vulnerable states. oda was so much, but ango was always able to love every bit of him.
"i would love to." ango spoke with a loving smile on his face, snapping out of his thoughts. oda smiled back at him with the same amount of love. he then faced towards ango, so ango's back was against the railing, and oda had one arm on either side of him. he gave ango a warm and tender kiss on his lips, then his cheeks, his forehead, chin, and finally this tip of his nose. ango felt as if he could get drunk off of oda kissing, and giving him kisses. he loved the way oda's warm lips felt on his lips and skin, and how his stubble would ever so lightly scratch against him. to be honest, any sort of affection oda gave him would always send him down a spiral of delight. he just wanted to spend eternity with oda.
"did you bring a lighter?" questioned oda.
"of course i did, who do you take me for?" ango chuckled with oda joining him. the small laughter wasn't loud, but it was loud enough for them to forget that they were outside and that cars were under them. loud enough to forget who they were, and what they did for work. loud enough to forget everything and just embrace each other with warmth and care. loud enough to just forget.
"light me?" oda said, pressing the cigarette up to his lips.
ango stared at oda's lips and the cigarette for a moment or two before answering.
"sure darling." ango's words were dripping with adoration and fondness for oda.
ango flicked the lighter until there was a small fire. he leaned against the cool, metal railing and lifted up the lighter to oda's cigarette. they've done this so many times, it was muscle memory at this point. he lit oda's cigarette, and watched as oda breathed in, then breathed out, letting a puff of smoke go. oda passed the cigarette to ango. ango breathed the smoke in, then breathed it out, letting the smoke out into the light breeze. oda stared at how ethereal ango looked as the light breeze brushed through his hair, how his lips were slightly kiss swollen, and how his glasses were slightly lopsided in the most adorable way possible.
oda could stare at ango all day without ever getting bored. there was just so much of ango to take in, it would take forever to completely soak him up. he loved absolutely everything about ango. from the moles that covered his body, to his fingers, then to his golden eyes, and then to his glasses that matched him perfectly, and then- he just loved everything there was to love about ango.
they both passed the cigarette between themselves, sharing kisses that tasted of smoke and cinnamon in between.
"just forget it all with me." oda whispered to ango with their foreheads together.
ango just nodded and continued to kiss oda.
