I was on my phone most of the trip. It was incredibly boring until I decided to read some books I rented off of amazon. Then suddenly the truck stopped and my mom's words broke the silence. "Do you want to come in with me??" Her voice is sweet, but if you listen closely you can tell it's just a facade and she is trying to hide the hurt from me.

"Yeah, I'll go in with you, just give me a sec." I said searching for my mini backpack that held my wallet, I finally found it. I grab my phone while stepping out of the truck.

"Finally" The voice made me jump out of surprise. "Ready to go in now??" She continued, you can hear how annoyed she is. I just give her a nod and walk into the gas station.

Once I walked in I went to the back and got the largest fountain drink I could. Of course my favorite soda was out of order so I opted for a Dr. Pepper instead. I paced up and down the isles mentally debating on what snacks I should get to prepare for the rest of this long, crazy boring, road trip. The snacks I finally decided on were m & m's, hot Cheetos, two chocolate-chip cookies, and of course the fountain drink. I pre-calculated what it should cost by rounding up and adding all the pieces together so I won't be scavenging through my bag for the money. I slowly make my way through the line.

"How are you today?" His voice sounded so perky. I wanted to roll my eyes at the sound and the sad attempted small talk, but I didn't. Instead I nodded my head with a tight lipped smile indicating that I didn't want to talk, but still giving a form of an answer. He shut up and finished scanning the items. "Your total is 15.32." I didn't say anything in return. I just handed him 16 dollars and donated my change to some local charity and walked away.

When the cold winter air hit my warm skin and made me shiver so I practically ran to the truck. The second I stepped into the truck it warmed me up. I grabbed my phone while sighing at my friends' Snap-chat and Instagram stories.

I didn't want to move, I had a life in the city, a job, friends, school, my dad. I was moving into the suburbs with my mom and her boyfriend Kole. I didn't really like the idea though, but it was better than staying with my dad. I just couldn't do it anymore, all the secrets and lies finally drove me away just like it did with mom. I was only 13 when my parents got divorced and I stayed with my dad. It was my choice but that was before, when I wouldn't give moving a second thought, before I knew the truth; so now two years later I'm moving to the suburbs with my mom and Kole.

When I got in the truck my mom was still in the store so I got my phone out and posted on my snap story and answered all my friends on snaps quickly so we didn't lose our streaks. As I got ready to take another picture to send to my friend Cassie my moms door opened and she got in the truck. She was on the phone with someone that was clearly annoying her, although you would never be able to tell by the tone of her voice, she always sounded sweet even when she was yelling.

...

We were ten minutes away from the house that was to become my new home when I got the notification "Noah_Pierce0705 is now following you" made me confused, concerned and curious all at the same time because my Instagram account all though it isn't private it's small and only people I know, know about it so, who the hell is Noah Pierce and how did he get my Instagram.

So like any sane person I stalked the profile as soon as I got home till I found out who he was, it turns out that he was the son of someone my mom knows through a charity she supports. So I just followed Noah_Pierce0705 back and moved on to unpacking my room. Little did I know I just unwantedly "made a move" on someone's boyfriend and unleashed all kinds of problems for my future self.
