The beast's tail wagged back and forth. His heads sat on the cushion,

"We can't keep him! He is too dangerous!" Someone says.

"What do we do with him?" Another replies. The mutt's six eyes scanned the light room. He was surrounded by other one-headed puppies with two eyes. He stood up out of his orange cushion and yawned a great yawn, The two men who were talking earlier gasped.

"It's alive?" A little girl questions.

The outside window in the front of the building said: "Paws and Claws Animal Rescue". We rescue animals that are in danger, breeded, and abused." Below that says: NEW: LAB PUPPIES FOR SALE".

Cerberus was the biggest dog there. He was about one foot tall, while the others were only six inches tall. He stomped over to the other puppies with a toy in his second mouth. He smiles with his eyes as the dogs run in fear. He sighs and sits back down.

-=Two Years Later=-

It is just Cerberus and another puppy. The puppy stayed very small, so no one wanted him. Cerberus just sat there, knowing no one would want him either. Until finally, for the first time in forever, a man came in and Cerberus felt hope rise inside of him. The man stared into Cerberus's six eyes. The man walked up to Cerberus and smiled a great smile.

"So you are what my wife was telling me about!" Cerberus wagged his tail. The man walked over to pick him up. The man accidentally tripped on it. "Ew! Get away from me, you filthy rat!" He said and went to pick the puppy behind him.

There was no more hope left for Cerberus.

All of a sudden, the bell at the door rang and the floor started shaking. A large man stomped his way to the front desk and pushed the other man out of the way.

"I would like the three headed dog, please" he said with ease.

"Why would you want that mutt?" He asks.

"To protect the stone" he says. His eyes widen and mumbles "I shouldn't have said that. I should not have said that."

"What stone?" The man says.

"Oh.. that's me. My name is... Stone" he says.

"Wow, your parents must have hated you." The man said, emphasising hated. "Why did you refer to yourself in third person?" He asks with suspicion rising in his tone.

"I often refer to myself that way." Stone said. He chuckled loudly and swung the dog over his shoulder. He slowly stepped up to the counter and smacked a few Silver coins down on the table. "That should cover it." He said as he walked towards the door. The man behind the counter started to object, but Stone interrupted him. "Thanks for Fluffy!" he said happily, as he walked swiftly out of the store. The man behind the counter picked up the coins. Engraved in the biggest one was the phrase: 'One Silver Sickle. Approved by the Minister of Magic.' He shrugged and threw the money in the register, not knowing that years away he would find that the man's name was actually Hagrid.

Hagrid took Fluffy down into the basement and led him into a secret chamber.

"This is the Sorcerer's Stone. Guard it with your life" he says. "Are you tired Fluffy? Are you tired?" He says as if he was talking to a baby. Fluffy just blankly stares at him.

"Well, you are going to be now" he says, cuing the magical flute to play. Fluffy then drifted off into a deep sleep.

Fluffy awoke two hours later to the nudge of Mrs. Norris, the caretaker's cat. She swiftly skidded away from him as he woke. His six enormous eyes looked out at three very surprised children. One, a girl with frizzy, brown hair, a boy with red hair and a cloak, and another boy with spectacles, and a jagged lightning scar that was slightly hidden by his long, shaggy, black hair. They were going to take the stone.

They screamed. Fluffy barked and clenched his jaws. This chased the children out of the door. Fluffy sighed and drifted back into his sleep.

About two days later, Fluffy heard a rustle of feet. He quietly stood up and crept towards the door of his small chamber. He nudged open the spruce door. His face was greeted by the same three children from the other day. The girl looked at him shyly.

"Good doggy." She said, backing away. Cerberus crouched down, a movement, such as a cat getting ready to pounce. The girl tapped the red-haired boy on the leg and they both bolted away.

Cerberus chased the children down the hallway. He was jerked back very far when his neck chain grew taught. He growled at the children as they ran off back to Gryffindor Tower.

Fluffy closed his eyes and drifted back into his deep sleep.

One week later, Fluffy was woken once again by the three children. They tried to get past Cerberus, but failed. All their attempts to get past him have failed, once again. Suddenly, though, the boy with jet-black hair whips out a wooden flute. He slowly starts playing Cerberus's favorite song; Swan Lake. The wonderful notes play vividly in Cerberus's head. His last remaining thoughts were of the three children scrambling down the chamber in which the purple-blue stone was glowing deeply, and where Professor Quirrell's body had been taken over by Lord Voldemort.

"Fluffy!" He heard in the distance. Hagrid's large form hobbled over to him. He shook Cerberus forcefully and dropped him to the ground. "Ahh. That Harry was destined to find it anyway." Hagrid heaved Cerberus over himself and carried him back to his cabin, where he fed him meat treats.
