Wonyoung's POV:
It was the first Wednesday we were back from the Chuseok Holiday and the first day I was coming to school with Yujin. I had to check if she approves of my unprecedented move, I didn't want us to have an awkward time after all. Thankfully she agreed and we are now on our way to school. She was just silent and seemingly thinking about her situation in her company. She was a Starfish Trainee, part of an upcoming debuting team. I let her be for now and later suggest going to her dorm and gathering her stuff. It was Wednesday, the slow hump day already unfolded. I usually worked on writing songs on Wednesdays, the past year was like that, building my portfolio of melodies and songs for when I actually feel like auditioning for a company. Then she broke the comfortable silence between us.
"I'm doing Friday Live Auditions at K²MH Entertainment this Friday. Want to try it out?" She asked me.
"Sure thing. I'll be there." I replied to her and smiled.
"I'm also going to get some of my stuff from the dorm, later. So, just wait for me at home." She follows up to me.
"We can help you get your stuff, save your money for better things instead of taking the bus to and from my house." I replied to her with a hint of finality in my voice.
She smiled at me appreciatively.
"Gomawo, Wony." I heard her say softly.
"Cheonmaneyo. I'll do anything to make things a little easier for you." I replied reassuringly.
Holding her hand as we rode through a slight traffic going to school. I was feeling giddy about what the next few days held for us. Living together and playing house. I understood it was a huge deal for us both, a monumental thing to be living together and sharing my space. Minji knew about how sweet and caring Yujin was, so I told her to lift some of the burdens I carried with me, living my double life. The constant hiding the truth for the fear of my social standing being compromised. It was Minji's time and effort listening to my dilemma, her exact words were 'Fuck it' just go for whatever makes your heart happy. Things I couldn't share with Yoona, Tsuki, Jinni and Jiwon. Minji was the daughter of Senate Majority Democratic Leader, Kim Jae Hyoon. She was always where her heart was the happiest; it was a no brainer for her. Her Father although belonging to the Democratic Party of South Korea, was a loving and accepting man, he allowed Minji to freely love. Attending several Pride Marches over the years, he was always proud of Minji's humanity. For him, she was the best daughter any Father could hope to have, all his three kids were loved by the public for their soft spoken and kind nature. Minji who had an older brother and a younger sister, were all used to the attention. So, she quietly moved with grace and kindness in and out of sight of the public, she created short films which tackles a variety of LGBT Issues, she uses her social media platforms to tackle these issues. She was good at writing, her words and her thoughts echoes through thousands of her viewers, she also likes to write lyrics and words, she was a literary genius out of all my friends.
Her creative visions were brought to life with her camera, lights and actors. I often starred in her videos in the beginning, her small YouTube Channel was something that brought us closer. Which led to that First Kiss, First Understanding that the both of us were better as Friends who supports each other's paths and growth, the understanding that no matter what happened in our past, we were determined to stay Friends and support each other. Thus becoming a pillar of strength for one another, I was accelerated by a year ahead too, so I was the one who guided her through her College Entrance Exams, what to expect and how to prepare. I gave her reviewers which I used to review for the dreaded exams, Hanni who was a smart cookie, helped her review and study. She and Hanni were like the Royal Couple in class, hailed for their family backgrounds, Hanni's Father was Former Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia and now an Ambassador to Korea. Hanni's Mother, a typical CEO of her Skin Care Products Line, a woman who chooses to defy the typical Asian Mother Storylines, she worked hard and independently, gaining a name for herself and her company. Together, they supported Hanni and her Younger Sister, bringing them up as beautiful and kind hearted young women. Hanni's Smiles were infectious and she was super friendly, a burst of sunshine and everything nice. I have met her with Minji, she was a newcomer at our then grade school, she wasn't shy about approaching people, randomly saying hi to everyone in class, smiling sweetly at everyone, sharing her snacks. Her Banh Mi sandwiches were to die for, the crunch of the baguette and vegetables coupled with hefty cuts of meats of every kind, it was something I miss about her. She always cared for us like a Mother would. Hanni, the Vietnamese Girl who may as well be a Korean with her visuals, writing and speaking perfect Korean, you'd think she was a natural citizen of South Korea with her speaking Korean, though what gives her away is her cute Australian Accent, which she hasn't unlearned even after quite some time of staying in Korea and being enrolled in a local Korean School. She and I used to speak exclusively in English. I learned American English in my Kindergarten. I had to adopt an American or English name, which was Victoria Jang. Victoria, had a sensual ring to it, which was why I never used the nickname Vicky, I would rather use Victoria. She cutely calls me Victauria, her Aussie accent causing some cute nuisance pronunciation of my name. I loved hearing her Aussie Accent. I thought it was endearing and cute.
