Natachai Boonprasert, nicknamed Dunk was busy with four other actors, searching for his ship partner after he was cast in his first leading role as Daonuea.Dunk made his debut as one of Pat's friend as a guest role in Badbuddy in 2021 shortly after joining GMMTV. Dunk initially didn't plan on becoming an actor, his dream was to become a pilot like his father and grandfather continuing the family tradition.
However with his mother's encouragement he ended up in the entertainment industry. His mother always praised him for his good-looks and charm. So like every other mother she felt her son would make it big as an actor and she was not wrong because shortly after auditioning for various companies he ended up being signed under GMMTV, one of the best entertainment companies in Thailand.
Dunk was currently studying Computer innovation engineering in King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. He needed to have a back-up just in case this whole entertainment career doesn't work out for him, and he actually had an interest in computer engineering made evident by the high-tech computer set-up in his room.
His family would often joke that his room looked like a space shuttle.
It's been almost two hours and somehow he didn't have any chemistry with any of the actors who were auditioning to play his love interest. Somehow they didn't have that essence, and charm that Khabkluen should convey.
Dunk was someone who got along easy with anyone, made friends easily so at first he thought it should be easy getting a ship-partner. Somehow today's casting proved it harder than it seemed.
There were about five people in the room who were playing as judges to find the perfect actor who would play Khabkluen, among the five was his CEO, Mr Sataporn Panichraksapong, commonly known as P'Tha was there.
He was exhausted and started to feel awkward, the other actors were nice and off-screen they got along well. Yet somehow he couldn't ignite the 'spark' that they were looking for.
"Okay let's take 5, and we will continue afterwards." The director of his new series, P'New announced.
Dunk heaved a heavy sigh and took a sit on the wooden floor next to one of the actors. He was an extroverted guy and hated awkward silences so he struck a conversation with the guy he was sitting next to.
During the chatter P'Tha's assistant walked in the room accompanied by someone who quickly caught Dunk's attention.
This person was absolutely breathtaking. Now Dunk was accustomed to good-looking people considering two of his closest friends, Pond and Phuwin were quite good-looking.
Phuwin had the grace and beauty Dunk has ever seen in anyone, whereas Pond had looks one would compare to a K-pop idol. However this person had the the type of handsomeness that would put Adonis to shame.
His beauty was intoxicating and Dunk couldn't take his eyes off of him.
"P'Tha, your 2pm appointment is here." P'Tha's assistant said and the boy standing next to her smiled and put his hands together to wai.
The boy's smile blew Dunk away, all of a sudden the room got brighter. It was almost blinding.
"Oh Archen, you are here for your contract signing right?" P'Tha said approaching the boy.
"Khâp, P'Tha." The boy politely replied with that dazzling smile that made Dunk's heart skip a beat plastered on his face.
"Well since you are here, how about you audition for this role?" P'Tha suggested and the other judges nodded. The boy had the looks they were looking for, so it wouldn't do them any harm to try.
