Let's start small

"Noah it's time for school" my mother yelled at I was about to brush my teeth. I yelled back at her "Mom... I'm about to brush my teeth!" I slowly walked to the bathroom hearing the phone ring and I yell "ILL GET IT" down the hall. I pick up the phone "Hello?" The other person says hello as well he sounds familiar. "Uh is this Noah?" I snap out of my thoughts "Uhm oh yea I'm Noah sorry you are-?" I wait for a reply noticing how cringe I sounded "I'm Michael we have classes together I just wanted to see if I could come over after school. I also wanted to tell you over the phone because I won't be in classes all day." I stop to think for a minute. "Oh um hi Michael I'd have to to ask my parents!" Me knowing they'll say yes but only if it's for school. I hang up the phone after we both say our goodbyes and I run downstairs to go say goodmorning to my parents. "Noah before you go I heard your conversation with Michael? Was it? But I guess he can come over." I looked at mom confused then I realized what she was talking about " oh yea thank you!" I yelled at I was running out the door and running to catch the bus. I'm always late to the bus and I have to run back inside to ask my oarents for a ride but today j seemed to get to the bus on time. Nobody said anything to me except for a girl about my age who sat next to me and started talking, "Hi! What's your name? I haven't seen you in the bus before!" She chuckled I sighed knowing there was no way out of the conversation " Uhm my name's Noah Carter." She looked at me surprised "wait isn't your dad like a really big company owner or something?" She seemed really energetic and I was caught off guard by the question. I paused "uhm no one really askes me about that they all kind of avoid me at all costs." I paused again " well maybe that'll change! I could totally be your friend! I mean if that ok with you..." She looked down then back up like she was thinking about a hard question about wether to wear pink or blue. "Oh no one really asks me to be their friend so he's of course!"

We all got off the bus once we reached the school and me and Veronica (the girl on the bus) had talked alot about random things and I knew a lot about her. We soonwalked into the school and parted our ways and I didn't really see her till lunch. As I was about to clean my tray from today's lunch 'Hamburgers' someone tapped my shoulder. I slightly jumped not expecting it but then I looked over my shoulder to see Michael standing there. He said he wouldn't be in classes so he couldn't talk but he was in the cafeteria. "Oh sorry I didn't mean to scare you" the nice brunette said "your fine Michael I just wasn't expecting it!" I tried not to make a fool out myself knowing how awkward I sounded. Michael took my hand and placed my tray on the counter and we ran into the bathroom. "Michael what are we doing in here?" I asked hoping for an answer. We stood in silence for what seemed to be an hour before we heard the bell ring and all the pattering feet running to find their classes. "MICHAEL WE ARE GONNA BE LATE!" I  yelled trying to move towards the door and get out of there but his soft hands grabbed at my wrists and stopped me. "Michael..." I paused. "Noah... I need to talk to you alone when everyone's gone" I looked confused I could tell he didn't like the way I was responding but I I don't want my parents to get mad at me. "Michael please my parents they'll-" he stopped dme by putting a finger over my mouth trying to keep me quiet. As soon as he heard everyone gone he looked me in my eyes. I looked back in his eyes normally I would feel uncomfortable and look away but his eyes had a different effect on me, like they were pulling me in. "Noah I've wanted to tell you this for a while but I didn't know how" he paused I looked at him concerned " Noah i-" someone had barged in probably from hearing my yell earlier "what are you boys doing in here you have class!" The angry teacher yelled at us "we are sorry he was telling me something about something else that happened and he wanted to talk on private we didn't notice the time!" I said trying to save us from whatever he was actually gonna say. The teacher continued yelling at us as he took us to our classes. Me and Michael continued making eye contact. I felt something but I couldn't tell what it was... Was it a crush?! What in a boy I can fhave a crush on another boy! "Noah!" I noticed the teacher had been yelling at me telling me to sit down in my seat for a while and the whole class was laughing. I say down and put my head on the desk and I noticed Michael looking over at me looking sad like he couldnt say simething he wanted to. I felt bad that I didn't shut up when we were in the bathroom so I couldn't hear what he was gonna say.

Me and Michael missed the bus because we had to fine each other because at the end of the day we had different classes. So we started to walk to my house. "Michael what did you want to say earlier?" I questioned Michael looked like he was extremely nervous. "Noah I don't know if you'll care to be my friend if I tell you this..." He paused I could tell he was really scared to tell me. "Michael it's ok! I'll still be your friend!" I said reassuringly. "I uhm well Noah... I uhm..." I could tell he wasn't really ready to say it "Michael I'm not forcing you to say it you don't have to!" I tryed not to make anything worse. "Noahihaveacrushonyou" he said it so fast I almost didn't tell what he said but then it came to me, I paused "I Michael I uhm I do too..." I paused looked into his eyes and then back to the ground where i had been looking before and noticed we were almost to my house.
