Chapter 1

A/N : HEY HI GUYS T-T sorry for updating so late, I TRIED UPDATING EARLIER BUT I BROKE WATTPAD BC OF THE WORD COUNT.. here as compensation, I made the story 11.7k words exactly hahhaa I hope you guys enjoy. The book will probably only be 5 chapters but each one will contains 8k words or more idk, I might upload slow/late.. Oh and btw there is nsfw at the end of the chapter so if you can't handle that pls walk away now. AH and.. If the scenes feel rushed, I tried to briefly add lore.

NOTE: The characters have been aged up. In the original manga, they were only 10 years old when they were chosen as Marleyan soldiers. However, I wanted to create a specific plot, so I have made them 17 years old at the time of their selection. Please be aware that this text contains spoilers for season 4 Ep 3 of AOT, as well as the manga, which has some connections with Reiner's flashbacks in chapter 39 and chapter 116 (I am uncertain about this). I will assume that everyone is aware of what happened in the prologue arc, but if you do not want spoilers, you may wish to avoid reading this book.

You're sitting under a tree, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere as you play a tune on your flute. The notes seem to blend in with the gentle rustle of the leaves and the chirping of the birds. You're so engrossed in your music that you don't notice Annie approaching from behind.

Suddenly, you feel a tap on your shoulder, and you jump in surprise, almost dropping your flute. You turn around to see Annie standing there, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes.

"Sorry to startle you, Y/N," she says with a grin. "I just couldn't resist sneaking up on you like that."

You laugh, feeling relieved that it's just Annie. "You scared me there for a minute," you say, shaking your head. "But I'm glad it's you. What brings you here?"

Annie holds out a seashell to you, and you take it, admiring its intricate patterns and colors. "My father gave me this seashell, but I think it would be better suited for you," she says. "Consider it a token of our friendship."

You're touched by Annie's gesture. She's always been a thoughtful friend, and this seashell is just another reminder of how much she cares for you.

"Thank you, Annie," you say, feeling a lump form in your throat. "This is such a beautiful seashell, and I'll always treasure it."

Annie smiles warmly at you. "I'm glad you like it," she says. "And by the way, your flute playing is amazing. You should do it more often."

"Thanks, Annie," you say, beaming with a warm smile. "That means a lot to me."

Feeling a mix of affection and bravery, you decide to show your feelings for Annie in a sweet gesture. Without thinking twice, you lean in and plant a gentle kiss on her forehead.

Annie's eyes widen in surprise, her cheeks turning a delightful shade of red. "What was that for?" she asks, trying to understand your sudden display of affection.

You feel a rush of embarrassment, but you know you can't take back what you just did. "Uh, nothing," you say, trying to play it cool. "I just found you so cute."

Annie's eyes widen, and she looks even more surprised. "Really?" she asks, a hint of disbelief in her voice.

You nod, feeling your own face flush with heat. "Yeah, really," you say, hoping that Annie won't think you're weird.

Annie smiles, and you can see that she's pleased. "Thanks, Y/N," she says, leaning in to give you a quick hug. "You're pretty cute too."

You feel a warm sensation in your chest, and you hug Annie back. Moments like this only make your bond stronger, and you're grateful to have such a good friend.
