Whenever it was a slow day at the flower shop Fundy would reminisce on his childhood. When he was still a little girl— Fundy cringed a little at the thought, he never liked dwelling on the thoughts of those times but those are the only times he had ever known his mother. He missed the times when his father would bring out his guitar and sing him a song after he had a nightmare, when he'd visit Paris with his parents every year, or when his mom would let him go on an adventure with her on her boat.
Fundy smiled a bit and his glamoured tail slightly wagged remembering how happy he was getting all dressed up in the pirate uniform his mom had made him, he had been so excited when she had told him he could come with her he had practically exploded with joy.
His smile had all but come crashing down as his tail slightly drooped when he remembered how he had lost one of the only things that had made him happy, remembering how she had given him her captains hat after she had hugged him goodbye and walked up that plank onto her boat almost immediately giving out orders to her crew.
She had waved goodbye before she left yelling faintly that she'd see them soon, but they never saw her again. He thinks his father knew she wasn't coming back, he could see it on his face. The way his smile didn't reach his eyes as they watched his mothers boat sail away, or how he didn't interact with him for a few weeks before he finally said a word to him, almost as if he was grieving.
Their relationship never really recovered after that, he doesn't think it ever will.
Fundy's rather sad inner monologue was cut short by the bell of the flower shop door ringing. Fundy looked forward noting that a young boy with dark brown hair and headphones was sticking halfway through the door.
"Hello?" He had walked fully into the store now while pulling down his headphones, looking somewhat confused.
"somebody order noodles?" He questioned before finally noticing the disguised fox boy at the counter.
He walked up cautiously before asking "Did you order noodles?"
Fundy thought it was rather obvious he hadn't as he was working at the moment but he answered him anyway, "Nope," He stated monotonously popping the P slightly. "It's probably for one of the apartments above us."
The boy looked a little embarrassed now, a slight blush growing on his face. "Oh. Right... I'll uh- get outa your hair now." He awkwardly stated before shuffling towards the door and hurriedly turning around once he reached it.
while his hand was reaching for the handle Fundy was debating something in his head before finally deciding on something as the delivery boy opened the door, he called out "Hey! What's your name kid?"
The boy surprised to be called out to turned around before a small smile formed on his face "Oh- My friends call me Mk." Mk said a little awkwardly.
Fundy smiled softly "Nice to meet you Mk."
Fundy said happily as Mk smiled back before rushing out the door to deliver food once more.

A few days had gone by since fundy had last seen the brown-haired male, he had wanted to see him again but by the time he got off work the sky was dark and there was no one but a few rouge demons wandering the streets.
But he had the day off to do whatever he pleased, so he decided he would go shopping while also keeping an eye out for Mk if he saw him—that is If he could even see anything other than clusters of people mulling around browsing stalls.
