The trio was sent to detention center later that evening, and Ava Moore, the prosecutor, entered the detention room the trio was in.
"Do you know why we brought you here?", Ava asked.
"I plead the fifth", Totlecatl responded.
"That was impressive for the Mexican who just entered America 3 days ago"
"I may be new in America, but I know everything about it!"
"Anyway, do you waive your right to hear the charges?"
"No, I know my 6'th Amendment Right"
"You have been arrested for unauthorized entrance to the Devil's Tower and a restricted room in Lady Liberty"
Eztli spoke, "We are uncovering our secret family history"
"What is that family history?", Ava asked.
"It is none of your business, ma'am", a voice replied.
The 4 people looked, and they saw it was Acalan with a man.
"Dad!", Eztli exclaimed.
"Brother, how did you know where to find us?", Totlecatl asked.
"You are on the news!", Acalan exclaimed. "We will discuss this later, but for now, I want to introduce your lawyer, Totlecatl: Jacob Jones"
"Hello, Ava. I think it is best if you go outside, so we can discuss the case with my client since you already revealed the accusation", Jacob suggested.
Then, Ava exited with a smile. When she left the room, Jacob told Totlecatl,
"I think we need to extend our client-lawyer privilege to your brother, your daughter, and your nephew, so I can hear what your family history is as I will set the defense around it"
Then, the 2 brothers told Jacob about everything. Totlecatl added about the progress they had done.
"This is Montezuma's diary. It belonged to Logan Martinez, but Montezuma acquired it", Acalan said, showing the diary to Jacob.
"This is the clue that led us here", Totlecatl added. "Also, this is the picture of the crest"
"Alright, I will set the defense based on your family history, hoping the judge will understand it", Jacob said.
"If the judge understands it, will I be declared 'not guilty'?", Totlecatl asked.
"No, the least punishment the judge may give you is a ban to come to America for a year"
"What if the judge does not understand"
"Incarceration. Fortunately, the children will be spared"
"Thanks for helping us, Dad", Eztli said.
"What changed your mind, Uncle Acalan?", Metztli asked.
"I don't want to miss an adventure", Acalan answered.
"There is something else", Totlecatl insisted.
"Alright, the truth is Mom peacefully died the day after you went to America, and the funeral was this morning"
"No, Grandmother Acuecuyoticihuati died!", Metztli exclaimed.
"Yes, she died. I thought helping you would be for her", Acalan said.
Jacob exited the room to talk to Ava.
"Can you let the family uncover their crest first before we do this legal stuff?", he requested.
"Fine!", Ava agreed.
"Thanks"
Then, Jacob returned to the family and said,
"Ava agreed to let you find the crest first before this legal stuff. Therefore, I can fly you to Mount Rushmore"
