Between Two Hearts

Ch 2 First week of classes

The first week of classes at St. Anthony's College was a whirlwind of activity. I spent my days attending lectures, meeting new people, and exploring the campus.

Despite my initial nerves, I found that I was settling into college life quite well. I'd made a few friends in my classes, and I was starting to feel more comfortable navigating the campus.

One afternoon, I was sitting in the library, studying for an upcoming exam. I was deep in thought, trying to remember the different theories and concepts that my professor had covered in class.

As I was reading, I heard a voice behind me. "Hey, mind if I join you?"

I turned around to see Kenned standing behind me, a backpack slung over his shoulder. He looked like he was in a hurry, but he still managed to flash me a friendly smile.

"Sure," I said, gesturing to the empty chair next to me. "What's up?"

Kenned dropped into the chair, pulling out a textbook and a stack of notes. "Just trying to get some studying done before my next class," he said, flipping through the pages.

We spent the next hour or so studying together, quizzing each other on different concepts and theories. I found that I really enjoyed working with Kenned - he was smart, funny, and had a great sense of humor.

As we were packing up our things, Kenned turned to me. "Hey, I'm heading to a party tonight. Do you want to come with me?"

I felt a rush of excitement as I realized that this was my chance to experience college life in all its glory. I'd never been to a party before, but I was eager to see what it was like.

"Sure," I said, grinning. "I'd love to."

Kenned gave me a thumbs up, and we made plans to meet up later that night. As I walked away from the library, I felt a sense of anticipation building inside of me. This was just the beginning of my college journey, and I couldn't wait to see what else was in store.
