Secrets

Author's Note:
Sorry it took me so long to write this chapter. I have been having motivation problems when it comes to writing lately. I'll try to update this fic more regularly. With that said, enjoy the chapter.

Your POV:

**Around a week later**

You and Carli had been friends for around a week and a half now, by now you knew she had a secret. Her malware was partly a mystery and you knew that had to be part of it. What was her other virus? Why didn't she like the sea? Were two questions to ask, but you wouldn't ask them because she probably would try to dodge those questions to the best of her abilities. Plus you somewhat liked her so you wouldn't want to accidentally hurt her feelings with your questions.

You weren't scared of her at all, but you were most definitely concerned to say the least. The questions you had were something you really wanted answers to. You were so curious about what she was hiding from you. 'Surely some other monsters might know.' You thought to yourself.

You were doing chores on the island at that moment. You were already given a job after not even living there for that long. At this point, Earth Island had kind of became your new home as you had no idea how you would get back to the human world.

Then you saw Fissure and Carli, they seemed to be training. Or more accurately, it seemed like he was training her. You watched Carli as she destroyed boulders and stuff. Seeing her strength was kind of attractive, causing you to soon feel your face heat up a bit as you keep watching.

You couldn't deny that you had a crush on her now. She was cute, strong, and had stolen your heart. Suddenly as you were watching her, Fissure gave you the most bombastic side eye. As if he was silently telling you to stop looking at his cousin. An awkward, embarrassed look spread across your face as you walked away and continued with your chores.

'Why did I watch her? What if she saw me as well? I'm so stupid-' You thought. 'Holy crap she's cute-' You took a deep breath to calm yourself.

Your mind was all over the place, you couldn't believe how much you could've embarrassed yourself earlier. You already did embarrass yourself quite a bit. If she did indeed notice you, you would die inside. You really had a hard time focusing on your chores because all you could think of was Carli, questioning if she saw you watching her.

A little while later, you finally finished your island chores. You were thinking of the same thing you had been thinking about since you made that embarrassing mistake the whole time. You walked back over to where Fissure and Carli were training earlier. It seemed they were taking a break. They were just chilling.

Fissure was the first to notice you again. "Come back for the show? Ya missed it. I'm done workin' out- plus I'm taken."

You flinch as you hear his voice but then just look at him with probably the most confused expression ever. "Good for you-?"

Fissure let out a huff and crossed his arms, dramatically rolling his eyes. "It's a joke, dumbass-" he grumbled, glancing away.

"Okay." You said. You turned away and started walking.

You didn't catch much of a glimpse of it, but Carli made a heart with her hands as you left. That made you think she might like you back, but maybe it could've been platonic as well. Your mind was racing from that as you felt your face warm up again.

Carli's POV:

I just realized I did the heart hand thing as you left and felt my face heat up more than it ever did before. I covered my face with my hands as I curled up into a ball, dying of embarrassment. What if Fissure saw that? What if you saw that? 'Oh dear Galvana' I thought to myself as I went into box form, my core glowing from my mind's eternal screaming.

It seemed Fissure had saw what I did because of what he said. "Ew- anyway, back to training."

I didn't want to get out of box form from how embarrassed I was. I couldn't even speak. A few seconds later, I felt him pat my box. That comforted me a little, but I wasn't ready to go back to training quite yet.

It took me a while before I finally felt comfortable enough to get out of box form and return to training. I did that eventually though. When I did, we acted like nothing happened and continued training.

Your POV:

You were still thinking of what Carli did earlier. Was it a sign she liked you back? Was is it just platonic? Your silly brain was so confused. You never would've thought the girl of your dreams would be a giant robot but there you were, crushing on Carli. Even though she had malware and was obviously hiding something, you still loved everything about her. Her appearance, her strength, her personality, it was all beautiful.
