The button was right there. Wilbur could press it with just a simple movement of his arm, and he wanted to. Oh, how Wilbur wanted to push that button.

Stacks and stacks of TNT sitting under L'Manberg, just wanting to be detonated.

Wilbur chuckles painfully and reaches for the button. "My unfinished symphony, forever unfinished," He whispers.

"My unfinished symphony, forever unfinished...?" A soft voice behind him echos. Wilbur doesn't turn, just pauses, his hand centimeters away from the button.

"Wilbur, what does that mean?" The person takes a step forward. Or do they? There was barely any sound from the supposed step.

Wilbur lowers his arm and turns on his heels.

It's a woman. She has long curly orange hair with a couple strands of gray that beautifully rests on her shoulders, with two gill-like ears sticking out of her hair. Her jade colored eyes show confusion. She also has tan skin with freckles dotted around, but it seems a bit more gray than a normal person's skin tone.

She takes another step forward, now the only thing separating the two is the lone chair. "Will?" She questions, looking up at Wilbur (Who's only six inches taller than the woman). The woman walks around the chair so both of them are next to the button.

"You aren't real," Wilbur backs himself into a corner. "You're dead! You are fucking dead! I saw your grave. Sally Soot. Loved mother and wife."

"No shit Sherlock," Sally smiles. "I'm a ghost, I know I'm dead." It was apparent she was dead, her dark green dress slowly faded into mist along with the bottom half of her legs. There was also a little bit of exposed skull at the top left of her forehead, and a small scar around her neck.

"How are you here then?"

"I have no idea. Kinda just appeared here. How long have I been dead?"

"Too long," Wilbur painfully smiles then walks up to Sally. They look each other in the eyes then embrace.

"It was never meant to be."

The sound of a button being pushed. Explosions get louder until the button wall is blown out. The dust settles and Wilbur lets go of Sally.

Somehow everyone got out of the way of the explosion, the biggest damage was to the nation itself. L'Manberg, now a crater.

Wilbur walks to the edge of the button room and spreads his arms, taking a deep breath in. He laughs, not in pain, but glee.

"Oh my god, Will!" Sally rushes up and stares at the crater. She never knew the nation but even still, tears form in her eyes.

"My L'Manberg, Sally!" Will laughs. "My unfinished symphony, forever unfinished! Look, look! How much work went into this and it's gone."

"Why? Will, I can tell you loved this place, why did you blow it up?"

"Corruption, my dear. We had a democratic election, and a fucking American won and ruined this place. And just so you know, this nation was built to keep the Americans out, it was a nation for Europeans."

"You could have reasoned with the American!"

"There was no reasoning with him, he knew each other before this Server. A-"

"Schlatt...? Schlatt ruined this nation?" Sally had tears running down her cheeks, burning her ghostly skin.

Wilbur nods. He looked at the faces of the people before him, they were scared, confused, sad, surprised. Even Techoblade took down the foundations for making Withers. But Wilbur couldn't see any of those emotions, only longing. A longing for him to be dead.

"Stab me, kill me," Wilbur holds out his sword to Sally.

"What?" She steps away from the sword.

"Kill me Sally, kill me. Sally, kill me," Wilbur keeps repeating the phrase. "Sally, stab me with a sword, kill me. Do it. Kill me, murder me. Look, they all want you to."

"I can't!" Sally pushes Wilbur away. "You have Floris to take care of, friends to help!"

"You've been dead for around ten years, and so much has happened. Those people won't accept my help, I just betrayed them. It's your time to live."

"No. I won't do this."

"I know simple magic, you kill me and my soul's energy will be transferred to yours," Wilbur smiles and gently places the sword into Sally's hands. "Fundy, your son, hasn't had a mother in years."

With that, Wilbur steps away and spreads his arms, waiting for a hug. Sally wipes her tears and hugs him, sending a sword through his stomach.

She lowers him to the ground, holding his hand as the life drains from him.

"Hey, maybe you could teach Fundy to swim," Wilbur chokes out. "Teach him that the ocean isn't dangerous?"

Sally nods, "Sure, I'll try." Sally leans forward and kisses Wilbur on the forehead, tears stream down both of their faces. As a gentle breeze accompanied by a soft white light starts to surround them, Sally hums a tune. Soon, the light encases the two.

Everyone else is panicking, wondering what happened. Disbelief and cries echo through the crowd.

WilburSoot was slain by Sally [Third Cannon Life]

The light disappears. Wilbur's body fades away into nothing. Sally stands, clutching the bloodied sword. A leather bag across her shoulder, full of what were Wilbur's items. No one speaks, the crater is dead silent.

That is until the first crow circles. Then a few more arrive.

Philza Minecraft, the Angel of Death lands on the narrow strip of L'Manberg that is still left.

"You're too late, Phil," Sally's voice quivers but it's loud. "He's already gone."

"Was it an honorable death?" Phil asks.

"I don't really know. He blew up the nation he worked hard to get the independence for."

"But gave his life to you."

"Yes. He said his time was over, it was my time to live." Sally slightly raises her arms. Silence again falls over the crater. Not in confusion, but respect.

The next few weeks were full of learning. Sally and Phil learned what happened in the years they were gone, and learned to move on. Fundy learned the ocean wasn't evil or dangerous. The members of L'Manberg learned to accept Wilbur's madness.

And the entire SMP learned what some people would do for their loved ones.

Notes

This idea came to me a few months ago, but now I decided to write it out. I literally wrote this in a few hours.

This piece was inspired by I am Damaged from Heathers: The Musical.

I also have to say, Floris is an awesome name. Good job Fundy's parents.
