Ivy
••••••••When I got the news of aunt Rose passing away, I was 17.
She was almost 80, so we knew it was coming. I was in Montana visiting cousins.Uncle Charlie called my cousins landline phone, so he woke up the whole house.
I picked up, and he said, "Ivy? Hey, its Charlie. Rose passed away early this morning. I got the call a while ago."I told everyone what he said, and we flew down on the next flight to Tennessee.
Had the funeral 4 days later.A couple months after, I baught a house not far from my mother's. It had 90 acres and a barn. I baught 2 horses and tack. Horses I've always wanted. Dapple grey, English Draft, and a red peacock appaloosa.
I began my life as a single cowgirl, working as a cattle wrangler.
I named the appaloosa Domino, and the draft Storm.
The only reason I could afford all this, was the money I received from Aunt Rose. She put in her will that I would receive $500,000. She saved up a lot of money for me. I was her only niece.I was working at a small boutique with my best friend before I left. I was saving up for an apartment... until the vacation to Montana.
Uncle Charlie told me, that she wanted me to have one of her Palomino thoroughbred fillies. She had raised rodeo horses; she was known nationwide.
Right before she passed, the pregnant mare gave birth to the prettiest little foal. Aunt Rose told Uncle Charlie that she wanted me to have her.Her name is Daffodil. And she was born for rodeo. I have the first place barrel racing buckles to prove it. Her show name: Field O' Flowers
It fit her perfectly. Considering she had some white dapple around her neck and rear. I even had spurs that had daffodils on them. Matched the wildflowers printed on her saddle.☆Storm☆
