As I walked past the booth I snapped a picture of the girls. I sensed power. Not just from the wolf but from the other one. It was unusual magic, not like witch craft or sorcery or anything I have felt before. It is almost like a hunters, but there are no female hunters. It is newly developing. She isn't calling it either, I can tell.

"Cocidius! come here!" I heard my master order. I quickly hid my phone.

"Have you sensed them yet?" He asked. I lied and said I hadn't, he believed me.

I got back to my house as fast as possible. Luckily I live alone.

My father is abusive and when my mother went to prison I was left with him so I suffered until I was old enough to get out. Now I'm 19. I was recruited as a hunter on my 18th birthday. It turns out I was born into it. The power only appears in males and I inherited it through my mothers side of the family. The hunters watched me as I grew and I was finally initiated when I came of age. At 18 the power comes.

I had to get the picture off my phone so I printed it out and deleted it. I then hid the copy in my locked drawer and returned to the booth with money.  What? Those pies looked good!

"Hi" I said nervously. The one in red clung to the wolfs arm.

"I'm Cocidius. I would like to buy a pie please." I kindly requested. Wolf glared at Red and stood to help but Red stepped forward with a pie and collected the money.

"Thanks" I said with a smile and turned to walk away.

"Wait!" I heard, then turned around to see what they wanted.

"You left your wallet." Red explained and handed me my wallet. I smiled,

"Thanks Red." She looked shocked.

"What did you call me?" She asked.

"Sorry, I called you Red. I don't know your name so I don't have anything else to call you."

"Oh, sorry, my name is Seraphina, this is Alphina." She introduced. I couldn't help it, I mumbled, " Makes enough sense."

"What was that?" she was scared. I could tell.

"Nothing. Thanks again for the pie." then I walked away.

I could feel it in the air. The wolf has changed again. I'm usually not allowed out on a mission, as I'm still in training. I laid down about to go to sleep when I got a text: Meet me at the edge of the woods. It's about time I show you how we work.

I got out of bed and changed into comfortable clothes. Then I grabbed weapons and ran to the woods.

"Hey Cidius, we have three rules. 1: stay with your partner  2: protect your partner with your life 3: don't die. I'm your partner for this round. I'll show you protocol while we move. Lets go!" Jess, my best friend and the youngest leader the group has, directed. He finished training in a year and became lead of the red group in three months. Training is usually a two year process and becoming a leader takes serious skills.

I followed him through the woods as he spewed rules and regulations. I stopped listening to focus. I don't know how he's so good at this. He never stops talking, I don't understand how he can track so well if he never listen to anything but his own voice. It wasn't until his voice stopped that I got worried. Then I heard it.

There was whispering and growling in the clearing.

"Cool it Alpha. . . SHH!!!!!!!! get in the cage, I tranquilized you yesterday, it's not good for you to have that many chemicals in your body! Get in the cage so I don't have to shoot you again!" To that the wolf, Alphina, growled, then whimpered, then I heard a cage close and lock.

"I know, he's close, that's why I have to get you home sweety. Lets---" She was cut of by Jess jumping through the woods into the clearing.

"Jess she has a---" there was a poof sound then a small squeal from Jess before he dropped.

"Tranq gun. . .Seraphina don't shoot! Please let me take him home and I won't try to fight you!" I begged.

"Who is that? And since when did hunters start working with others?" She asked.

"Since my best friend decided to train me. Its Cocidius! you met me earlier, I bought a pie." I explained walking into the clearing with my arms up.

She pointed the gun at me.

"Against the tree!" She ordered. I obliged. She tied me up.

"Um tie him up to please." I nodded towards Jess. She looked confused for a moment but did as I asked.

"Now knock me out."I directed.

"Why? Don't you want to go once I'm gone?" She asked.

"How would I pull off lying to them then? If you knock me out I can claim I don't remember what happened and you'll be safe. " She understood now. She didn't look happy about it but got ready to hit me. Right before the pain I heard her whimper,

"Thank you, thank you so much. . ."   Then a BAM and I was out.
