"Take him to room number three and wait for him to turn into his human form. Keep him away from room number five", the old man, whose beard had turned almost white, said to the woman.
The tall, buff woman held a tiny, cloud-white, fluffy rabbit hybrid in her arms. The hybrid was still in his animal form. He looked around, with perked-up ears, as if, wanting to consume everything with his big, black, shiny eyes.
The woman nodded, and passed a gentle smile at the tiny fluff ball.
The bunny's eyes wandered around, as they walked down the hall-way.
A few moments later, the woman stopped infront of a peach-brown door and pushed the key inside it.The lock opened with a shrill, rusty sound, as the woman creaked open the door.
"Don't go anywhere outside", saying so, she placed the rabbit on the floor and went away, shutting the door a bit too loudly. The rabbit hybrid, who also went by the name Jeon Jeongguk, whimpered at the sudden, loud noise. His ears covered his eyes, as if, trying to protect himself from the outer world.
His soft, padded paws ran all over the carpeted floor of the room. Being in a hybrid centre for the first time, he was more excited, than scared.
After a few minutes of running around, the fluff ball sat down, his tail supporting his butt.
I need to make a friend, was the first thing he thought of, the moment a slight wave of boredom hit him.His long, droopen ears perked up again, while filing up courage and energy inside him. The door was opened a bit, through which, a ball of fur, as tiny as Jeongguk, could easily pass through.
The curious rabbit looked at the long, dark hallway, as its head tilted in amusement.
He hoped towards the closest door, as quickly as possible. His little heart jumped in joy, when he saw the door of the room number five wide open.
The ball of white fur peeped from behind the door, his ears perking up at amusement, when he saw a tiger cub, almost thrice Jeongguk's size. My friend is a giant!, Jeongguk squealed and stomped on the carpeted floor with his tiny furry paws.
Being smaller in both size and age, the bunny could do nothing but nibble on his new "friend's" stripped arms.
Jeongguk nudged the sleeping tiger cub. Feeling slightly offended by the fact that the cub is still sleeping, he grunted internally and nudged the cub again.Soon enough, to the bunny's extreme joy, the cub yawned, slightly annoyed by the "disturbance".
Before he could stretch his arms, his orange ears perked up at the two black doe eyes staring at him. Sitting straight in utter surprise, he stared at the ball of fur, resting between the gap of his paws. How the fuck did he manage to squeeze in there?!, The cub, having the name tag 'Kim Taehyung', questioned himself.
He stretched his paws and in a blink of eye, there was a seventeen year old boy sitting on the floor, with his tail drooped down in annoyance.
"Listen here you little sh-", grabbing the rabbit by its tail, he was about to curse at it, when it noticed the pair of cloudy black doe eyes staring at him lovingly.
Taehyung scowled at the ball of fur, before covering its small size with both his palms. Jeongguk sniffled, his nose scrunching up to express the bunny's excitement.
"These people should stop adopting kids- HEY HEY HEY DUDE WHAT THE FUCK ?!", Taehyung screamed loudly, when Jeongguk hopped from his palm, and launched himself on the tiger cub's neck.
"GET OFF ME! WHAT THE HECK ?!", Taehyung screamed again, but his screams soon died down when he noticed the bunny trying to close his large ears, using his small white paws. Jeongguk's ears were covering his bambi eyes, while his tiny paws tried their best to keep the ears over his eyes.
Taehyung bit his lip, feeling guilty, as he very well knew that the whimpering ball of fur is the consequence of his loud screams.
In his fifteen years of existence in the hybrid centre, for the first time, did Taehyung patted another hybrid's head. "I'm sorry. Don't be scared", he picked the rabbit up and grunted when it attached itself to his neck again. Jungkook sniffed Taehyung's neck, as a way of forgiving him.
"Dude! Give me some spa-Fuck I'm sorry I'm sorry", Taehyung again bit his tongue, seeing the watering doe eyes of his newly made "friend".
‖------‖
A twenty five year old predator tiger hybrid snuggled closer to his prey rabbit friend, wrapping his arms as tightly as possible.
Strings of pretty giggles left the rabbit hybrid's soft lips, as he ran his fingers through the tiger hybrid's hair, "Why are you grumbling ever since the morning, huh ? Did you get into another fight with manager Min again ?", Jeongguk questioned.
When he first arrived at this centre, he was only fifteen. Ever since then, many things had changed, he, himself not being an exception of the nature's control. And alongside changed Taehyung's behavior.Everybody saw the apparently grumpy and rude tiger hybrid roll on the floor and whine for cuddles from his friend, Jeon Jeongguk.
"No!", Taehyung replied groggily, hugging Jungkook's left hand as if his life depended on it. "Then what happened ?", the rabbit hybrid questioned and puffed out his cheeks, to give his puppy eyes a better perspective. "Stop doing that everytime, will ya ?", the tiger hybrid grumbled again, sitting straight upright and held Jungkook's puffed out, milk-white cheeks.
"I'm naturally grumbly", Taehyung stated, looking away, avoiding the extreme temptation of looking at the bunny hybrid's innocent face again.
"That has to be the biggest lie I've ever heard", Jungkook complained, squishing Taehyung's bread cheeks, completely ignoring the annoyed grunts leaving the tiger hybrid's lips."You're not grumbly", Jungkook stated very proudly, "You're so adorable, infact". He giggled, placing a tiny kiss over Taehyung's nose.
"I'm letting you squeeze my cheeks. You better pay me back with cuddles, along with kisses, as interest", Taehyung, inspite of saying that in a threatening tone, scooped Jungkook in his arms and placed him on his lap.
For Taehyung, Jungkook was still the little bunny who managed to squeeze himself in the gap of his paws, and nudge him till he woke up. Koo was still the same bunny who managed to not get himself cursed at, inspite of making the tiger hybrid land into trouble about a few hundreds of times. He was still the same tiny ball of fur, who befriended him, inspite of them being worlds apart.
