I woke to the feeling of someone's arms around me. When I was finally fully awake I could tell that Calum was the one who had his arms wrapped around me. I kinda just layed their and snuggled my head into his chest. I know we are just friends, but I was starting to form feelings for him. Calum woke up and looked down at me. When Calum realize that we where cuddling he unwrapped his arms around me.
"I'm sorry." He said.
"No it's Okayy." I said. "I need to get home before my mom wakes up and wanders where I am."
"Okay. Do you want me to drive you?" He asked. I nodded my head. Calum drove me home.
"I'll see you later I guess." Calum said.
"Yah. Okay." I said.
I walked in my house and my mom was still asleep on the couch. I walked towards the stairs. When I was about to step on the first step I heard a voice say...
"Who is he?" It was my mom.
"He's just a friend." I said.
"Oh really now." She said in a sarcastic tone.
"Yes mom nothing happened."
"Okay. Well can I meet this boy."
I just looked at my mom and walked up to my room. When I got to my room I plugged my phone up to my speakers and started playing New Americana by Halsey. Around 12:00 pm I got a text from Calum.
"Hey girl! What do you wanna do today?"
"Well... we could go to the park."
"Okay the park it is. I'll be there to pick up about 1:00."
I had about an hour to get ready so I watched one more episode of Freaks and Geeks. When Calum and I got to the park we just walked around and talked.
"So... My mom is cooking dinner tonight if you wanna come by?" I asked.
"Sounds great." He said.
"I don't know my mom never cooks so..."
Calum laughed a little and we continued walking around the park.
Calum started the car and we drove back to my house. When we walked into the house the smoke detector was going off. 'Oh my god' I thought to myself. Calum looked at me and started laughing. We walked towards the kitchen and my mom was taking something out of the oven.
"Mom!"
"Oh hey Jayden. I didn't know you were going to be here yet."
"Mom, this is Calum."
"Hi nice to meet you Mrs. Coats." Calum said.
"Call me Lauren."
We went to the dining room to start to eat. Mom and Calum where getting along pretty well. When we got done eating I walked Calum to his car.
"I see y'all got along pretty well."
"Yah your mom is amazing. And her cooking isn't that bad."
I giggled a little.
"Goodnight Jayden." Calum said.
"Goodnight Calum." I said
I gave Calum a hug and walked back inside.
"He's a keeper." I heard my mom say.
"Yah he is." I then walked up to my room.
