Suisei sighed, finishing her food.
"You finished already?" Pekora asked, sitting next to her.
She looked down at the food on her plate, which was only a quarter of what it had been before. She nodded.
"Sorry... I was just... really hungry," she said, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I think I ate too fast."
Pekora laughed. "Don't worry about it, peko! "
Suisei smiled, but she couldn't help but feel like something was wrong. Something was wrong.
"Do you think... Marine's okay?" she asked.
Pekora raised an eyebrow. "Why are you asking about her?"
Suisei froze. "N-No reason... I was just... Worried..."
Pekora sighed, taking a sip of her drink. "It's okay, Suisei. I know you like her."
"I... Wh-What?"
"I can tell you're in love with her. It's okay. You don't need to hide it from me."
Suisei froze again, her face turning bright red.
Pekora laughed. "It's okay, Suisei. I don't mind. I like you, too. I think you're a good friend."
Suisei's face turned redder, and she was too embarrassed to say anything.
"Suisei? What's wrong? You're looking a little flushed," Pekora said, taking another sip of her drink.
Suisei couldn't respond.
"I guess you're just embarrassed, peko! " Pekora said with a smile. "It's okay. You don't have to be."
Suisei shook her head, her face turning redder.
"You don't have to be embarrassed, Suisei. I don't think any less of you for liking another girl. I've always liked girls, too. I think it's cute."
Suisei's face turned redder. She wanted to say something, but she couldn't think of what to say.
"You don't have to say anything if you don't want to," Pekora said.
"O-Okay..."
Pekora took a sip of her drink and smiled.
"I guess... I guess that's what this feeling is..." Suisei said, thinking about what she had been feeling. She remembered feeling something like this before.
She smiled.
She realized what was wrong.
"Pekora?"
"Yes?"
"I think... I think I'm in love with you."
Pekora froze, her eyes widening. "What?" she asked, her face turning red.
"I think... I think I'm in love with you,"
Suisei repeated. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest. She knew this was what was bothering her, but she didn't want to admit it.
"Suisei..." Pekora whispered.
She stood up, turning away. She wasn't sure what to do, but she was happy that she told her how she felt.
"Pekora?"
Pekora turned around, looking at Suisei. She stood there in silence, unsure of what to say.
"Pekora?"
Pekora was frozen in place, unable to move or say anything.
"Pekora?"
"I... I think I'm in love with you too, Suisei."
Suisei was surprised, but she smiled.
"Really?"
"Yes... I mean... I think so..."
