Lloyd starred at the man who was his "father." The oni literally looked capable of murder and Lloyd was not thrilled to see this version of Garmadon.

The Overlord smirked. "My, I am shocked to see this, Garmadon. I would not have pegged you as the sentimental type, especially towards the green ninja."

"I would not say that I am being sentimental. it's just that I am going to kill myself, not you." The overlord laughed.

"You really don't remember what happened all those years ago between me and you. I completely manipulated you into getting stone warriors into Ninjago and then I possessed you and turned into a dragon."

Garmadon growled. "You don't know anything about me, so shut up." The overlord shook his head.

"Oh don't I Garmadon? I know that your father despised you because you were the one who got bit, not Garmadon. You always felt that he ignored you for Wu, and when he did pay attention to you, it was to punish you."

He continued with, "Once you were older, both Wu and you fell in love with the same woman, and you knew you were going to lose her to your brother, so your evil sensei convinced you to scratch out his name and write your name on the letter. Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon was a mistake."

That made the oni freeze up. "Oh, did I get to you Garmadon? Well, that's what I thought. Guards, capture him and force him to watch the green ninja die." He instructed and walked over to where the boy was hanging.

"I just took your one and only hope away from you." He laughed when there was a blinding light that caused everyone to yelp in pain. Well, everyone but the son and grandson of the first spinjitzu master.

When the light cleared, a figure was forming out of the golden light, a figure with blond hair and green eyes.

He glanced around the scene and cocked an eyebrow, frowning when his eyes fell on his eldest son and the overlord. He sighed in irritation.

"I thought I was done with you. Now I find out you're here causing problems for my son and grandson?"

Garmadon swore, and Lloyd's eyes widened surprise.  "The first spnjitzu master?" He asked.

"Yes, Lloyd, I am the first spinjitzu master, I am also your grandfather and Garmadon's father. though," he wrinkled his nose, "I see he unlocked the oni section of him. I purposefully hid those parts of Wu and Garmadon but I can see those have been broken."

"Sorry Dad, when you get brought back from the dead, you cna complain about not having your emotions," the oni snapped, not caring about how he was talking to his father.

"Garmadon please, I never hated you. Surely you know that. Mow, we can discuss this later, I have to deal with the Overlord." He turned to face the villain.

"I am so over you," there was another blinding light, and the overlord was gone, Lloyd was freed, and Garmdon could get up.

"Is he gone?" Lloyd asked while the first spinjitzu master turned to face the both of them. "For now, Lloyd but not indefinitely. Now Garmadon, can we discuss this?" He gestured towards his son.

Garmadon rolled his eyes. "I told you, Dad, I died saving my son from the snakes back when Chen tried to turn himself in Anacondrai. I was sent to the preeminent where I stayed in chains while all the ghosts    tortured me. I only saw Lloyd top give him my clothing and then the preeminent died, with me along with it."

"My soul was resting peacefully when a white-haired girl resurrected me.  Too bad she only wanted my villain side, not my hero side." Lloyd rolled his eyes at his father's dramatics.

"It's fine, Grandfather. I'm used to being alone. I was alone until the ninja took me in, then after he died again. I never needed my parents in my life," he finished.

The first spinjitzu master cocked an eyebrow and said softly to where only Lloyd can hear, "everyone needs their parents, Lloyd. No matter how horrible we think they are." Lloyd rolled his eyes.

"He only cares about himself. He can never learn to love." "Just like you could never learn to hate?"

Lloyd was going to say something but he had a point. Never ever in his entire life, would he have thought that he'd despise his father.

"Just be careful which way you lean, Lloyd. As my grandson, your emotions run higher and there is a chance you may follow your father after all."

Garmadon came over and shoved Lloyd away from his father. "You're not telling him anything, father. I don't need you filling his head with stories," Garmadon bared his fangs at the ghost.

"Stories? Garmadon, I am trying to help. Why would I fill his head with stories?" The oni pushed past the ghost, ignoring the question.

Lloyd starred at the two, wondering how they became like that. Garmadon came over and scowled at his face.

"Can you stop looking at my father with that expression? You may think he's the greatest thing in the world but trust me Lloyd when I say he is not."

Lloyd scoffed. "Oh yeah? And you're what? Father of the year? I didn't realize that father of the year includes trying to murder your child every chance you get."

Garmadon growled and walked away from the boy, hating that his father intervened.

Lloyd watched his father closely while the entirety of the group regroups. Garmadon stood off in the doorway, arms crossed, watching the golden ghost talk and blend in.

Lloyd glanced over and approached his father. "Can you lay off the harsh glare?" He demanded of the oni.

He shrugged and bared his fangs. "This is how I am, Lloyd, don't like it, leave." Lloyd sighed.

"I am trying to be nice, Garmadon, you still my father and you can still learn to love. I just wish you'd to lighten up with your father."

The oni rolled his eyes. "Fine, it looks like you don't need me, so I'll be leaving." Lloyd watched as his father left and slammed the door behind him, not looking back. He sighed and turned back into the building.

Garmadon was thinking about how he reacted and wanted to apologize when he was approached by a crystalized soldier.

"Oh crap," he swore and demanded, "What do you what?"

The soldier said robotically, "The overlord wishes to speak with you, master oni. You can come quietly or do this the hard way."

Garmadon smiled at the soldier, and said, "Guess I don't have much of a choice, do I?" The two go while in the building the first spinjitzu master saw and cursed under his breath.

"Well, this just got way more dangerous. I hope Garamdon knows what he is doing."
