Long Day (Jeverus)

James was exhausted after a long day of work at the Mistry Of Magic. His white button up shirt was a little crinkled at the back, his hair was as always messy and untamable, and his glasses were slightly lopsided, tilting to the right on his face, but he couldn't be bothered to fix them. Because all he wanted to do was go home, hold Harry and then snuggle up in bed with Severus. 

his car halted in front of Spinner's End. After he and Sev got married, they decided to move here. where Severus grew up. 

 and it was convenient enough that the place was just sitting empty since Severus's parents weren't around anymore. and anyway, it was a beautiful house. spacious and elegant. 

James stepped out of his car and stretched, his back hurting from sitting too long. he practically dragged himself to the front door and fished out his keys from one of the many pockets of his blazer jacket. The door unlocked and James slumped inside, his jacket hung over his left arm now. he trudged into the kitchen and threw his jacket over the top of the counter. James groaned softly. he had a slight headache. 

Severus walked in holding a silver mug with the letter 'S'  engraved on it. he leant against the fridge and took a slow sip from the mug, eyeing James. He was dressed in a white cotton t-shirt and grey sweatpants.

"well, aren't you a sight for sore eyes'' the Slytherin said sarcastically 

''I know right?'' grinned the brown haired boy 

Severus raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything as he watched James. 

The Gryffindork slipped off his shoes and put them aside, then hooked a finger into his tie and pulled it down, loosening it and freeing his neck. he closed his eyes and groaned softly of relief. that groan, and the way his hand and head moved, turned Severus on ever so slightly.

James glanced at Severus and gave a small smile.

''tired?'' asked Severus, looking at his husband with sympathetic eyes. 

James nodded. 

"exhausted," he yawned ''will you please come here so that I can hold you?'' James held out his arms, gesturing for Severus to walk into them

normally, Severus would have let out a snarky comment but he decided against that idea. instead he put down his mug and did as James wished. He walked over and snaked his arms around James's waist and smiled down at him.

 James sighed and buried his face in Severus's neck, taking in his scent. his arms wrapped tightly around Severus. he lifted his face and pulled Severus down by his shirt, placing a soft kiss on his lips.

'' it's cute how you have to pull me down to kiss me'' Severus murmured against his lips. James groaned.

''I hate you, you prat.'' the shorter boy tore himself away from Severus

Severus laughed and pulled him back, pressing a kiss against the side of his head.

'' I love you too, Potter'' he whispered

James smiled.

Severus pulled away '' so Potter, what do you want to eat?''

''you.'' grinned James

Severus blushed and walked over to the other side of the counter 

'' shut up you idiot, what do you actually want to eat?''

'' a grilled cheese would be nice. thanks <3'' said the Gryffindor ''by the way, where's Harry?''

'' he's in his playpen, little rascal refuses to sleep until he sees his Daddy.''

James's heart warmed. he smiled like an idiot at the thought. he walked over to Severus and hugged him from behind. 

''technically, he's not the only person that calls me daddy~'' James grinned into Severus's back

Severus scoffed and smacked his arm, ''idiot''

James chuckled and brought his hands up to his lover's chest, cupping his tits. he squeezed them twice.

Severus pulled away and rolled his eyes, ''just go tuck Harry in and come eat the damn sandwich I'll make, you horny bitch''

''you know you love me~'' sang James as he disappeared down the hall.

He knocked softly on the door to Harry's nursery, then entered. Harry turned around and as soon as he spotted James, his whole face lit up.

"daddy!' he stood up and reached his arms out, bouncing on his heels excitedly. James grinned and rushed over to his son

'' hi Harry 💗'' he cooed, picking Harry up and burying his nose into the boy's cheek. Harry giggled and grabbed at his tie, pulling on it softly. James tucked Harry against his chest and kissed the top of his head, inhaling the familiar scent of his son. "were you good today? did you bother aunt Lily too much while Papa and I worked?''

Harry shoved two of his tiny chubby fingers into his mouth and sucked on them. he shook his head. ''Wily said I wuv you to me'' he grinned around his fingers.

James chuckled and kissed Harry's cheek. he used one hand to point to his own. 

Harry took his saliva coated fingers out of his mouth and attempted to give his Daddy a sloppy kiss but he missed and ended up smearing saliva on the right corner of James's lips. James smiled and tried not to wince.

'' okay do we say goodnight now?'' the raven haired boy asked, to which Harry frowned but nodded his head softly

''aww my darling, it's okay. tomorrow we'll spend all day together. me, you and Papa okay?

Harry smiled and nodded joyfully.

James walked over to his crib and layed him down '' goodnight, little munchkin.'' he tucked Harry in and walked out.

''babe'' James called, wiping saliva away from his lips

"yeah?" replied the raven, turning around

"will you feed me- pretty please?"

Severus sighed "gosh you're so needy-"
