Only a few more hours stood between me and discovering the history of my ancestors and that of my true Father. I tried to keep my mind occupied but it kept wandering back to the "what if" scenarios that made my stomach churn and a lump form in my throat.

I hadn't seen Ronin or Emrick since last night. I assumed that Ronin was helping Emrick through his recovery from drinking Jaime's blood.

The waiting was getting to me, so I walked to the library and flopped down on a chair. I didn't even read the title of the book, I barely read the words that seemed to blur together on the page. I didn't know who was going to be accompying me to Rose's house.

I couldn't keep still, so I returned the book back to its position upon the shelf and found myself wandering the around the house and walking through the back door and into the garden. It wasn't big, or extravagant, it was modest and along the borders of the yard, native tree's stood strong and tall against the silver light of the moon. I found myself thinking, was Emrick older than the tree's that surrounded me. The tree's provided enough cover so that the vampires could walk freely during daylight hours without the symptoms of sun sickness ailing them.

I let my mind ease as a soft breeze blew around me, teasing my hair, and making the canopy above me whisper ancient songs in a language lost to us long ago.

A faint voice in the distance interrupted my enjoyment of the outdoors.

"Princess Misha, Where are you? Misha..."

The voice was too faint, I couldn't recognise who was calling me.

"I'm over here." I replied as loud as I could.

It didn't take long for Ronin's silhouette to appear in the doorway.

"Come, Princess. I will be accompying you to visit Rose. It's time. Follow me."

I followed Ronin out onto the stone street. We hardly talked as our footsteps tip -tapped on the stone. I had enough of the silence.

"How's Sir Emrick this evening, Ronin?" I questioned.

"He has spent most of the day sleeping. He will be fine by this time tomorrow." He replied.

"Who's with him now?"

"The butler, Princess. He offered to look after Emrick while I was with you. Rose's house is just around the next corner." He answered, trying to avoid talking of Emrick further.

As we turned the corner, we stopped at the door of a wooden dwelling.

" This is it, Princess. You must knock. Go ahead."

I took in a deep breath and with a shaking hand I banged on the door.

I heard footsteps and the door opened just enough that a face peeked through the gap.

"Ah! Princess Misha, please come inside. You can also join us Ronin."

We both entered through the door, Rose led us outside. She had a small covered area attached to the house, where vines gave that little extra privacy.

Rose motioned for Ronin and I to sit, funnily enough there were already 2 seats waiting for us.

Once we were seated Rose looked back and forth between Ronin and myself. An awkward Silence hung between us.Rose motioned for me to put my hands in hers.

"Before I begin. Are you sure you really want to do this Princess? You might not like what you learn." I nodded my head,

"I'm ready to learn of my heritage. Please continue."

Rose let out a large sigh, closed her eyes and held my hands tightly. An eerie silence surrounded us.

"Your Father was once a good man, he respected Luca, and held him close to his heart. This all changed when your namesake Micah the voiceless lover became an important part of Luca's life.
